Who would have expected you to make it this far?

Running around with the likes of Billy Stroud, and Alfie Taylor, at the Cotton bowling Palace

I give credit to the beautiful Pam Potter for extending your stay
on the planet

Remember that box of frree stuff I sent you

consider that your birthday gift

Even though I have never met JP I hope he has a great day.
deanoc you and Jackpot are breathing new life into the forum. I hope you two have a great holiday season.

Jackpot was once a great pool player
then he made Libra cues

then he used to make money betting on his friend
golf,pool,baseball...made no difference

then one day his friend got in a tough game

what did Jackpot do?

did he stick with his pal out of loyalty?
remember all the times his friend had brought home the cheese

did he decide to grin and bear it

No,he told his friend he was off the bet.
further he said that his pal had no chance to win and there was no profit in playing
anymore.

"I will stick around to the end" he says"or at least till the other guy wins two in a row,
then I have to jump"
further he allowed"and you will do the same if you got any sense"

unfortunately his pal of many years replied"but how will i ever know if i coulda won?"

His pal stuck,Jackpot jumped, the other guy beat Jacks pal
like a red headed step child,he paid off all by himself

but that's not all

Jack consoled his buddy of 25 plus years"I told you so"

I shoulda listened

Pete Glenn, the smartest biggest winner in the history of the game
had struck again, but how wuz I to know

Dean,

It was all the Big Boy hamburgers we ate at Kip,s across the street from the Cotton Bowling Palace while discussing what to do with Vernon, Titanic, Bobby Chapman and all the other characters.

Not to mention the hot fudge Sunday’s.

I guess you heard that vernon died not long ago
i had several discussions with him years after these pool times

he and his wife took in a cousin, little girl
vernon doted on her in her younger and his declining years
when we spoke he seemed to be a really nice old man, much softer

he hardly seemed to be atough guy at all, billy t also passed away
as did a few others

now that you are out of the cue business do you still play
one pocket any more. ?

i hope all is well with you
