Happy B-day, Scott. See you in Columbus in a couple of weeks..

Peace, Joe

Thank You, I can say the same for both of you (most special people on here.)

Linda your posts always make me laugh, think, and then laugh again! This forum is lucky to have you. We have not met and I was hoping to make the BCA Vegas Tourny and finally see you in person; but alas I don't have the funds!!!

Joe Koontz (and his team) won the funds!!! (I got spoiled the last two years.)

Joe is a real stand up guy, easy going and like me crazy about pool. Not only that, he's got a hell of a break, and a jam up game to boot.

Joe I can't wait for Columbus have you seen the brackets yet?

Hope to see you on the winners side!

Scott,

Yes, I hope to see you on Saturday, after we both win our first 2 matches. Kind of sucks that we are in the same bracket! Enjoy your b-day.

All the best, Renard, on your birthday.

Thanks SJM! I would have to put you at the top as well in this forum. Your posts all have the love of the game in them.

By the way I played straights twice in the last two weeks. Thats a record nobody wants to play straight pool around here. Two different opponents the first match the guy quit early and mumbled something about how he likes straights but gets bored by it quickly. Maybe it had to do with his losing at the time and my safety play. :p Then no one else would play!(it was late.)

The second match I recorded my runs: 5, 15, 4, 12, 25, 6, 2, -, 22, and 9.
I was breaking great (who is this guy.) But I was taking some easy shots for granted this time. Anyway the guy I was playing had to leave as well. (100- 33.) I couldn't stop there it was in my blood so I practiced.

By the way, I have a period of time through say up to 50 to 60 balls I'm buckling down with concentration on every shot and hey I'm doing good. Then the concentration just relaxes a bit for a miss here and there.

Makes me mad and I redouble my efforts and usually pull out of it. Talk about addicting!!!

Anyway thanks for the Birthday wishes, take care!

(P.S. I am not by any means a good straights player, just hoping to be with time...)

Pleased to learn you're becoming acquainted with straight pool. The constant problem solving and the number of forks in the road to success is what makes the game so interesting. Every rack run is like a puzzle solved, and is very fulfilling.
