Hard, Medium, or Soft Tip? What do you use?

Just curious on what tips everyone likes?

I heard that:
Soft Tips - provide more english but wear faster.
Medium Tips - provide a good amount of english and don't wear as fast as soft.
Hard Tips - provide the least english but last forever.

Is this correct?
 
I'm likin the kamui med soft tip. Plays real nice, no mushroomng at all since I installed it. Holds chalk well dosen't seem to be glazing at all I expect to get a lot of milage out of this tip. Very soft hit as well on my predator shaft.

Sweet, I will have to check that out.

BTW. I forgot to mention that I play with a Le Pro, don't really know if it's soft or medium. I know its not hard thought. :D

Tip grade can be kind of deseptive. I used medium LePro's for years. Now I use soft Talisman and to me they hit very similarly to the medium LePro except I get a lot more action on the cue ball when needed. Medium Talisman's are just too firm for my liking.

Pretty close to true. Although you'll hear a lot of "Moori" and "Tiger" and "Talisman" over the long run (and Triangle, to be fair, but you have to be more careful selecting these nowadays)...

I think it is because of consistency, not only in the tip itself but from tip to tip (which is why I don't tend to use Triangles as much as I used to -- and I just don't like the "run of the mill" LePro very much to begin with).

I actually like the different grade tips from Moori and Talisman (and the Snipers are pretty great, too). If you're used to LePro, and you're looking for a new tip, ask yourself what it is that you're not getting out of the LePro and you would like to get out of the new tip...

I'm really liking Moori S and M tips right now, but I'm leaning more toward the softs (especially once they start to get thinner)...I just like the hit a little better. For me, its about the hit -- any of these high-quality tips ought to give you good control and consistent english. That's what they're designed for, after all...

EDIT: I've also found WB tips to be pretty good, too... ;)

Tiger Products SOFT (split calf skin)
Sniper

But Dont get me wrong, I no lika a sponge for a tip, once the tips seat in they all play about the same, except for the White tip, (tiger products soft) Hard to describe, a lil softer than the others but a good feel, lots of action. 1 was enough however, as I useualy prefere Morri Soft or a good triangle.

Moori Soft on a 19oz cue, I play on bar boxes most of the time and I have a soft stroke...

I have tried a hard tip on bar boxes but for me even a soft stroke gave the ball a little more bounce than I wanted, a medium was better of course, but the soft fits me fine
 
I play with Triangle. I tried a Le Pro and didn't like it that much but I hear Sniper were great. Are Sniper layered tips?
