Any info, action or results out there? I guess because it moved out of Reno we are not going to get brackets? I am sure it is quite a good field.
jrhendy where are you?

Bustamante & John Schmidt drew each other in a first round match and Bustamante won. I played two matches and had to leave early for a family emergency, so no after tournament action for me. I won an upsetter over Mark Haddad and lost to Bobby Hunter. I understand some of the Seattle players are coming down for the one pocket and if Harry Platis shows up with them it should be quite a show with The Tooth still around. Rich (The Tooth) is ready to roll if he gets the right game. I think he and Tony will play if Tony gets the $$ together. I won't be back until the one pocket, so I hope someone else posts what is going on. John Henderson

Great match against Haddad! And in 9-ball! It's unfortunate that the family emergency caused your early exit from the tournament. I hope everything turned out alright. Too bad you couldn't have continued. You were playing well, and might have got into some decent dough. Give 'em hell in the one-hole!!

Hope everything is OK John. Nice win over Haddad.

I'd love to see the brackets on this one, since I'm unable to make it up there.

I was pretty lucky to beat Mark, Doc. At 5/5 I played a combination on the 9 and hit it so bad I two railed it into the other corner. Then I broke & got out and things went my way. My 9 ball game never was too much and it isn't likely I would have gotten too far in this field. I bought T-Rex in the calcutta for $250 & Chris McDonald beat him in the first round. I only got in the 9 ball to support the room I play in and get tuned up for the one pocket. John

Way too bad if you missed this tournament... 72 players and more than half are in the "Very Tough" speed.

I've been feeding the bracket info and notes to Mike from the start... you guys ought to pay more attention to AZBilliards.com's main page with all the current POOL News for your info.

We were checking, and you may have sent info to Mike,. but he does not always have time or whatever to get it up right away. I started the post on Wed. morning when nothing was up, at least did not see it on main page. That is a day after tournament started. So you don't need to tell us where to check. This is the only place to look for tournament action.

In the final round of the second day, John Schmidt got in DEAD STROKE and ran 5 and out in his match. If he had any kind of a shot, he made it; it was amazing! The match between Marlon and Rafael was great too. Rafael made a jump shot on the 3, with a full cue over the whole ball, and then a 5-9 carom to go up 4-2. Marlon played strong to win the match case game.

Been there and done that after jcin posted. Love it and now I have added that site to favorites. Don't need a photo of Bucktooth. He has been ingrained in my mind since I first met him in 1957 at Cochran's.
