How good is He ? Is He still playing pool?

...I was told to stay clear of Swannie (who ran a room in El Cajon) in San Diego when I went down there ( he had just taken off a 25 k tourney ...Resorts in Jersey...25 was a lot to win in a tourney in 84) there is like always someone hitting it so good...even those guys without 'names'...Johnny, those names sound familiar pard, do you remember a player that went by 'the plumber' or 'little buddy' arvalos ,mexican teenager from san jose who did his tour at 16 (maybe in the late 70s)...

I noticed some familiar names mentioned on that forum. "Swannie" was, of course, Jay Swanson. There was also Al "the plumber" Winchenbaugh.

"Little Buddy" (or "San Jose Buddy") brought back a lot of memories. This kid would've set the pool world on fire had he kept on playing. Instead, he hung up his cue at age 19 or 20, got married and became a carpenter. Last time I saw him, it didn't look like life was very exciting to him.

Jam, get that book going! The reason everyone wants this book is because they know Keither had the most colorful life in the pool universe.

Tucson Ricky?

Hi, new here. Someone asked about Tucson Ricky.
Would that be Richard Nese, also known as the drummer from the band Ultimate Spinach. He shot pool here with Rueben, Baseball Jimmy, Fat John, Harold etc back in the mid to late 70's. Snoopy's/Mama Mia's and the Student Union were hangouts for the players back then. Alabama Slim shot around Davis-Monthan area. oh, just call me Cat.
