Has anyone had a cue made of dymondwood?

Thinking about having a playing cue made. any input or suggestions, or pics if anyone has one.
 
I had a break cue made of it, shaft and butt. But it's heavy material and had to use a unique taper so it wasn't too stiff and heavy. Might work for just the butt section, if you like a heavier cue.
 
A girl on league night had one. The thing must have weighed about 5 lbs.
Very stiff hit, and it stood up to a great deal of abuse. She would smack that cue on just about everything and I don't think it ever got so much as a dent. It was green Dymond wood and one of the most hideous cues I've ever seen
 
Yes, I believe Alex Brick had made a few playing cues out of Dymondwood.
 
I picked up a butt on Ebay a while back that I was using with a OG Klapp shaft that played pretty good together. It was a little heavy and another member was looking for a dymondwood butt so I sold it to him. Actually wouldn't mind still having it. I have not personal experience with the builder but here is his link:

Bob Renis made many. He is gone now and his cues are highly prized for their unique look.

Yep! I play with a 54" Bob Renis (also note that the shaft diameters are incredibly small, and he did some tricks to lighten it) and it weighs more than 20oz. The guy who taught me to play uses a full 57" one and a larger shaft diameter, and his is more like 22.5oz! Both are the 'normal' cocobolo colored dymondwood, so they look quite attractive.

That said, it is incredibly well balanced and plays extremely nice. I don't have a single complaint about mine.
 
The question is:

What happens when you smack a diamondwood cue against a diamondwood rail?

Does the universe implode, or does this cause the grandfather paradox?

I had a butt made by Jim Emerick in Marion In. The diamondwood was made from various dyed woods and purpleheart. Because of the colors, when he tapered the butt, it was two butterflys opposite each other and extending from end to end..Georgeous and 24 oz. I paired it with a flat laminated shaft for a break cue.
 
Just picked up a McDermott M12O (that's "o" not zero) that I think is beautiful. They stopped producing these in 2007. I'm using it with my Revo for time being as my main player. Only the butt and floating diamonds are dymondwood, the forearm is Birdseye - - not too many Birdseyes but nice maple.

I have a Joe Boushka jumpcue with Birdseye handle.... so stiff!! It jumps pretty sweet
 
The dymond wood used to be sold by Atlas billiards but I think they stopped offering it.
Penn State Industries also sold it.
There was also Colorwood.
It mare a very solid hitting cue.
Made several of them.
It is very hard to find now but a lot of high end conference tables were made from it.
Top lamination is a very nice dark wood.

My current player is red and grey Dymondwood.

Jacoby makes some nice looking ones. Also, Esperitu recently made a jump/break for a friend of mine and it was so light I could hardly believe it was diamondwood. I don’t know why it was so light.
