Yeah, and I bet he hasn't run under 10 seconds in 100 meter either. What a looser.

Seriously bruin70, what is the point with that comment? Ronnie is a great snookerplayer. Give him the respect he deserves. I just hope I will meet him in the group stages in the Norwegian 9ball challenge in July - and whoop his ass:D In a respectful way ofcourse..

Maybe it's you who missed the original poster's question.

Efren has played SNOOKER against Ronnie, best of 5 for 100 pounds/dollars a frame. Guess who won. Efren played Jimmy White and Steve Davis that same night also best of 5. He won every match, making three centuries playing with his pool cue. nuf said.

p.s. I'm a big fan of Ronnie, and obviously Efren aswell.

Listen, O'Sullivan plays snooker better than anyone in the world right now. Well, Efren plays One Pocket better than anybody else in the world right now and unless I have heard the back channels wrong, Efren is still the favorite against O'Sullivan playing any other game with a cue and balls. O'Sullivan is great. Reyes is great. Why does it have to be constant competition?

Am I the only one who's heard of this the first time?

It was brought up a few times before.

It was in Asia. The tables were 12 x 6 snooker tables, but not like they normally use in England (according to someone here on AZB). Efren was spotted 25 points per game. Efren had a few century breaks.

You can read an interview where Darryl Peach reports just a line of it. My information above is from Efren when I asked him about it in Sept. 05. He said he also played Jimmy White, but we didn't continue on the specifics of that match up either.

The tournament they were all there to play did not pay out money, according to Reyes. He won a bracelet for having the first century in the tournament. He says Ronnie also won a bracelet, but he didn't expound on the whys and whats. I suspect it was for high break, but who knows?

He also said that he doesn't like snooker and that he couldn't beat the professionals. Of course, this is the same humble man who also says he got lucky when he completely dominates a tournament.

Hello Fred,

The info about the 25 pont spot is new to me, Darryl must not have known. The info I had was also from the Peach interview, but time and illegal substances must have altered the facts in my memory a little bit. Glad you could confirm that this actually happened.

I wasn't trying to say that efren was a chump or anything, I was just askin because efren has accoplished EVERTHING known to man when it comes to any form of billiards it seems like. I wasn't saying that this guy is better than that guy, but just wondering if bata has gotten that 147 before, sorry for any confusion

When I asked him what his best break was, he said he didn't know. Someone on the internet on another forum asked what his break was, he replied, "all of the balls." That could mean anything, but if he hasn't had a 147, there doesn't seem to be much that says he couldn't.

Even I can't remember anything. So, here's what I reported the day I asked Efren about this matchup. Of course, this doesn't mean Efren can remember anything either:

Efren on playing Snooker vs. Ronnie

Efren may be humble, but he's also very honest. If Efren says he can't beat the snooker professionals (at least on a regular basis), then I believe him.

Regarding his honesty, I read in the recent billiards digest article on Efren that he said that if he plays 8ball well, then nobody can beat him. Efren wasn't being arrogant, he was just being honest. And if he says that nobody can beat him in 8ball, then I believe him (he also says he wasn't playing well in the KOTH tournament). After all, I believe he has won the great majority of the 8ball tournaments he has entered.

I don't know if he can say the same thing about 9ball. Maybe that supports my opinion that 8ball really is the tougher game of the two. :p

What's so hard about that? They were all straight in.

RC

;)

That's funny. :p

Ronnie sure doesn't take very much time setting up for his shot and making sure he has the right angles or where he is going to crash into the stack. I imagine they do drills on the last colored balls because they are almost always in the same place,so running those last balls are done by rote. But it sure is still amazing.

Is this table like the ones we have over here with the rounded edge pockets that reject anything that hits on the insides of the pocket? It didn't look like it, but then he may have just potted everything squarely down the middle.
