because I won't be there..

I'm stuck in the Oakland airport (was my layover) awaiting a flight to head to Philly... Instead, Mother Nature decided to play a cruel trick and ensure that the FAA closed all airports in a 200mi vicinity on the east coast. Earliest I could get there would be tomorrow night, so rather than fight that battle, I'm headed back to Seattle this afternoon...

On top of that, they have NO IDEA where my luggage is, including 4 cues.... I'm so livid right now, as I don't have the means to replace $4K in cues, so I damn sure hope they are located... Only time will tell.

So all of you guys that were able to make it - have a blast and a beer for me...
 
Bad weather

Sorry to hear you can't make it. I was there all day and well into the night yesterday. It was 80 degrees on Wednesday and about 60 yesterday. Today it is in the low 30's and snowing like hell. The Philly area is suppose to get 6-10 inches of snow today and it looks like that may very well happen. Hope to return to the Expo again on Saturday.
 
Boy that sucks, and I thought i had it bad. Guycrunch and I were driving down this morning but because of the weather we decided to forget driving and looked into flying. When we found out we had to put the cues in baggage, we thought about it, factored in the weather and stayed home!

I hope they find your cues!

Sorry dude! Right Coast weather sux for 1/2 the year - one of many reasons why I'm on the other coast.

But since you're in Oakland, don't forget about the:

38th ANNUAL REUNION 9-BALL TOURNAMENT in Sacramento. Less than 2 hours from you!

Mother Nature has lousy timing...

closing airports and coating highways with snow and ice on the weekend of the Expo. :( I've had reservations for months, and had to cancel tonight and may have to cancel tomorrow, but that's nothing compared to what happened to you. Hope they get your cues back, and quickly! My luggage has seen a lot more of the world than I have, but so far, it has been returned.

Yep....definitely....especially if they found your cues!!

I got a call from Linda a couple of hours ago...she is on her way back from Lincoln City and will be there tomorrow with bells on...I think she may plan on staying over @ the Hampton, she said she would likely arrive around 1-ish, I told her to hit the Hampton Inn first to reserve her room, and then head over...we may get full tomorrow yet!

I was at the airport and on the runway when the pilot came on and said "Sorry folks, there is adelay in Philly":mad:

Oh well, Have fun everyone and we all expect to se lots of Pics.........
 
I live in Philly and the weather is awful. The roads are horrendous because PennDOT didnt do any salting because it was raining all of last night. Hopefully they will have the roads cleaned up by Saturday morning
 
What a nightmare. Another thing to add to my list of reasons I hate to fly.

Ross, I hope they get your cues back to you ASAP! I'd ge going nuts if that was me.

I hear you. My plane took off and I thought everything was going to be fine. A few minutes later the pilot said the airport was closed and we were headed back to Orlando. I tried 2 more flights but they both were cancled so I headed back home :( .
 
I've spoken with baggage services in Seattle, Oakland, and Philly..... nothing. No sign of anything. Nobody has any clue where my cues are.
