I haven't been able to reach a number of pool halls in Arkansas, and I was wondering if anyone knows which of these may be closed:

PD's Billiards and Game Room
2739 Dave Ward Dr
Conway AR

Game Room
45 Bittle Road
Heber Springs AR

J Cs Billiards (Break and Run)
Benton AR

Emmert's Snooker Parlor
611 Main St
Van Buren AR

Rack-N-Cue Billiard & Snooker
4030 N Central Ave
Batesville AR

I've found phone numbers for these pool halls online, but the phone numbers I've found are disconnected or go to voicemail.

This thread had me nervous for a second, lol. One of my favorite places to hang out was a room in Jonesboro. Luckily, it's not on the list

A sigh of relief, I'm sure.

I'm trying to track down pool halls and other sites in Arkansas with snooker tables. I've found half a dozen and am trying to track down a few more.

Snooker Tables!

J C's (Break n Run) poolroom in Benton,Ar. is up and runnin' , has monthly 9-ball Tourney's and has one snooker table too.........

"Burn's Poolroom" in Warren,Ar. has two snooker tables, and a Snooker Champion from way back, still playing there, but you better be "Damn Good" if you want any of his Action!.......his name is "Gerald Bickers" and is as good as they get in the USA!, I've seen him beat some Canadian Champions to Death! and he can play Golf better than anyone "Alive" on a Snooker Table!

Thanks very much, David. I'll give Burn's Poolroom in Warren a call.

Arkansas has a fair number of snooker tables.

David, I haven't found a listing for Burn's Poolroom. Do you have an address or a phone number for it? Have you visited recently?

A few weeks ago I confirmed that a place called The Sandwich Shop in Warren has a snooker table:

The Sandwich Shop (one 5 x 10)
106 East Cedar
Warren, AR
(870) 226-3920

No I haven't been there lately, snooker use tobe real big in Warren,Ar.pop. 6,000, many years ago with three pool halls each having 3 or 4 snooker tables, there must have been around 25 guys that could run 50 or more points at any one time, I even run a whole rack of snooker at age 14, wasn't much else to do in that small town 30 yrs. ago.

It's been a few years since I was in Warren,Ar.

Wow. So many tables. There aren't that many snooker tables in all of New England, as far as I've been able to find out.

Thanks very much for that. I'll give them a call.

I'm still trying to confirm whether Burn's is open or not. I'm guessing it has closed.

There are still only five confirmed sites on the list for Arkansas, but since you and Bob Reed have been helpful I made a Google Maps listing:

http://www.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en...d=101015890573325902304.00046bf5532a42d865c75

I'll update the map as I make contact with more sites in Arkansas.

I also posted the link in this new thread:

you were in Warren when you were about 18. I don't think Barry ever went back though. That was so funny thinking backon it. You had poor Barry pushing out to kick shots. He was a while getting over it.

I was in Magnolia a couple of weeks ago and could never find Barry. I'm going back in about a month, is there anything around El Dorado? Is there any 1 pcket action around there at all?

Now that i'm thinking of it, what ever happened to Davy Baker oveer in Texarkana. He was pretty good action for a while, but a long while back?

Take care, Lewis
