Have you hopped a ball (not jump) when there's

Has anybody EVER PULLED THIS OFF in a game - to get out of lock up safe?/hop a bank?-remember-there's nothing else to shoot.

OK-how about -from one end (9 footer) shoot a ball hard into the opposite far short rail. Assume an immediate alert athletic posture/remove shooting hand from cue/catch fast approaching spheroid with caution. BE CAREFUL-don't jam a finger like somebody I know. TRY TO MISS THE LIGHT-TOO

I think we all know the shots you're talking about. It's the shot that has our back against the wall with nothing reasonable in sight.

In these cases we look deep into our imagination and come up with hail Marys instead of just conceding the game.

Some shots that we imagine are so bizarre that we don't give them any hope of materializing but sometimes to our surprise they do work. Other times when we are in tune with our selfs and the equipment these bizarre shots are not so out of reach. It seems at these times we actually believe that they will work. Later we marvel at what we actually did!

A couple of examples for me was when I once jumped and hit the back rim of the corner pocket and kicked out and eight ball that was impossible to get out any other way playing last pocket eight ball. Another time in a game of eight ball I jumped over two balls and pounced onto the eight, banked it and hopped it over a full ball for a cross side bank. I don't think cuetable can show these types of shots, or maybe it can.

Oops, just saw where you said hopped and not jumped. Never mind.
