finds a good thing

is from the holy scriptures, and to no ones surprise
I have found it to be very true

Just yesterday I had to stay home and elevate my foot to
reduce swelling

i had quit pool about 2 months ago
so my mind was serene until Mark Gregory
decided to call

one thing led to another ,
until he began to tell me about the work he was doing on
those beautiful Centennial tables

Billy loves his and was wondering why I didn't have one
Chris loves his and was wondering

What can I tell them?"says mark

"Its not the money?"

" Oh no"says I

Your room would look so good, you still have that beautiful light but no table ?"

Is it the wife?

Well ,what can I tell the fellas? says Mark

You can tell them you just sold one to me

"maybe we better wait till your wife agrees before you send the money"says
Mark Gregory,"Just to be sure"

Good idea "says I

Honey I just bought a new pool table,if its ok with you

"Dean ,i want you to be happy"

now she knows me like no one,I have had 10 tables in
the 8 years we have lived at this house, like i said
we still have a big light hanging in the den/pool room

"i just want to know one thing before I
move the piano"says June

Will you be selling the table ,before it gets here or after
someone offers you a profit and you suffer the cost of double install?"

"Do you think it is possible she knows me too well?

My table is not for sale.
I say not for sale, this time I mean it

However I might be willing to listen to offers

Ten tables in eight years? That will stop now, there is no finer table to be had, enjoy.

I built my house 25 years ago and I am only on my third table. I am good this time with a GC1, dimpled rails and all, I played on the table while in College in Portland 30 years earlier, finding it for sale years later was too funny.

If a person bought a brand new, top of the line Brunswick today, people like Mark Gregory could make it even better.

On a side note, someone should make a thread about how good Deanoc is about promoting people here on AZBilliards who he has done business with, great job Deanoc, it's one of the finest parts about this website.

So I'm not the only one. I've been in this house going on fourteen years and am now on my fourth table. Started with my Brunswick Sport King, a very solid box that I brought from my old house. Then I decided to upgrade and bought a Brunswick Gibson because it reminded me of an Anniversary. From there I moved on to a GCIV that I picked up cheap from a room that was closing. It was a step up from the Gibson in playing quality. Then finally I relented and got a Diamond Pro-Am since so many tournaments were now using them and all my pool playing visitors lobbied for one. The Diamond has been here five years now and has gone through a major upgrade with new Blue Label rails and tighter pocket openings. It plays great (and tough) and when I see Dennis or Shane hitting balls 10-12 hours a day on it I know I have the right table.

I've also had a GCV stored in my garage and never set up. Someone quickly bought that one out from under me. I regret selling it now. Also had a nice Anniversary I got dirt cheap and also stored for a couple of years. Sold that as well with more regrets now. I needed space in my garage to park my old cars (1963 Mercury Comet SR22 and a 1967 Dodge Dart GT). I finally wised up and sold those wonderful old cars and bought a used Porsche Cayenne, only the best SUV there is imo and leased an Audi A4, a nifty mid size car. They both sit outside and my '67 Custom Chevy Stepside Pick-Up is in the garage. I have an addiction to cars and can't stop buying and selling them. There life expectancy in my hands is about 2-3 years. ;)

P.S. My new wife (for life!) is Filipina and the happiest day I've had been since she came here was the day she picked up a cue on her own and started hitting balls on my table. Being Filipina she fell into a good stance right away and was hitting all the balls she aimed at. I've yet to see her miscue, very rare for a brand new player. She actually enjoys practicing and I told her that one day she will be beating me at Pool like she already does at Badminton.

You’re Happy. But I’m Dopey and Grumpy. My stock GC4 is jealous of your new purchase. However my wife would not care if I upgraded. So that’s a good thing.

I saw a sticker somewhere read....I got a pool table for my wife. Best trade I ever did.
