Headed to Florida for a week- Looking to maybe meet some fellow AZBers

Hello AZB members-

I have to take a road trip for work next week and I am headed to Florida. I will be traveling throughout Southern FL all next week. I would love to possibly meet some fellow AZBers and shoot a few games. Note: I do not play for money just fun. I love the game and love to watch other great players. I land in Miami Sunday afternoon and then travel North towards Ft. Lauderdale then onto Boynton Beach, Orlando, Tampa, St Pete, Port Charlotte, FT Myers and back to Miami. What are some good rooms in these locations to shoot? Should anyone want to meet up drop me a PM here. Thanks for any information one may provide.

When you get into the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area go to Diamond Billiards, it is on Pine Island Road.
Justin Bergman is out there playing right now, there is a lot of fun pool action in that room.
Plenty of action to sweat!


Also, 45 mins south of Fort Myers is Naples, there is a very fun bar box tournament every Tuesday night at the captains cabin on Airport Road

8ball. Race to 2. $10 entry Usually about 30 players. House adds 50% to the pot.

I will buy you a beer!

Tampa and St. Pete are really big cities with a ton of pool halls.

When you get to Orlando Clicks and Cuephoia are about the only two places to play, I will pm my number and we will get together and shoot some. Tom
 
Chris...When you get to the Tampa Bay area, check out Crooked Cue in Clearwater, and The Flamingo Bar in St. Pete. I'm moving down there next month. I'll miss you this time, so I guess I'll have to catch up with you again up in MA! Have a great trip! :D

Thanks for the info Scott. Bummer it would of been great to see you again. I don't know if you remember we had a lesson in Ayer, MA Billiard Cafe a few years ago.

Scott, let me know when you get to Tampa, you gave me a lesson about 5 years ago when I lived in Plymouth Michigan, don't know if you remember playing on my old Madison is the basement. It was a good time. Pm when and I will come over and have lunch and go out and hit a few. Tom

I went and played today at the crooked cue. $5 for the whole day!! Nice tables a few diamonds and Brunswicks!!

Palm Harbor - Strokers
Clearwater - Crooked Cue
Largo - Corner Pockets
Seminole - CM's
St Pete - City Billiards.

Special nod to the Flamingo Bar in St Pete, the city's famed action place.

I went there on Sunday, but forgot about telling you! I was ther with a friend who wanted to try out different cues cuz he's in the market. He got in stroke while trying the all out while I stayed in summer mode. Like usual.

Chris...I definitely remember you...and we'll see each other again! We worked in the private room at the Ayer room. Great lesson. Glad you liked Crooked Cue. It's the closest room to where I'm moving to.:D

Sad to say I never found her. I am definitely going to checkout diamond billiards. That seems like a sweet room. There are a slew of rooms in fort Myers area. I am almost back to Miami and my trip will be over. I met with 2 fellow Azbers so far. I got to have the pleasure of getting my butt kicked by a pro or a semi pro Adam wheeler. What a nice guy. Even though he puts a whooping on you. I wish I had more time in Orlando. I would of loved to get a lesson with him. Take care everyone and thanks for those whom have responded in this thread.
