I agree completely. I would be first in line for a Sneaky Pete. Think Jon Allen is watching??? Royce??? Might there be a Sneaky Pete in our future?

I see the ring that matches the ferrule material, the OB logo, and of course the Predator-ish pricing. I'm looking forward to seeing them in person.

a custom cue with fitted OB shaft will smoke any of those

That's smart to say.... How do you know since the only one who has one is Mr John Schmidt? Have you tried one?

I'll keep my mouth shut and actually post my opinion when I have a cue and actually have played with it. Over and out.

Mike and Kent,

Thanks for posting the pics!

The Super Billiards Expo will be our official public launch of the new line of OB Cues. Come by booths 23 and 24 and see them for yourself!

I wanted to share some of the technology used in these cues. Below is an excerpt form our sales literature that you will see in our advertisements.

New OB Cues FLC Technology, proudly ?Made in the USA?.

With its special Full Length Core, these new cues deliver exceptional feel and consistency.

We start with a Full Length, hard maple core that is specifically designed to give an extremely solid hit with just the right feedback. The special core extends the full length of the cue, adding stiffness and warp resistance as well as complimenting the playing characteristics of the OB-1 Cue shaft.

We surround the core with highly figured, quality hard woods. The combination not only gives a sound quality cue that will last a lifetime, but a very beautiful cue as well.

We finish it off with a distinctive signature ring made of our Trademarked Stacked Maple Ferrule block to give it that special look only available in an OB Cue.

With a full range of models to choose from, you are sure to find an OB Cue with the looks and performance you are looking for, at a price that will fit your budget.

As far as Sneaky Petes go, we are looking into that. Being that 100% of our products are Made In The USA, this is a more difficult task than if we imported them.

Again, come by our booths in Valley Forge and hit a few balls with one of our new cues!

For those who would like to see them, have a look here :

Newton,

I contacted a local dealer in California, and he had no idea. He called OB1 and they are about to walk out the door to travel to the Expo for the official unveiling of the cues.

Are the pictures, the only cues available?
Or are there more cues within each series (100, 200, 300, 400)?

I would like to see all of the cues available in the 400 series.
Do you have any more pics?

i had the chance to play with a cue made by Royce before the ob1 shaft came out. i liked it. spun the ball like crazy and would deffinetly take effort to get under control. it looked much better than the cues in the pictures above. they should have made them more plane with simple ring work

Okinawa;

I do not have any more pictures on the cues, but there would be some better pictures later.
The cues would be announced as mentioned by Royce this week, and I was not sure if I was allowed
to use them on my page before the official announcement.
But I received a friendly reply from them this was OK which impressed me a lot !

The OB guys are the best and I'm really looking forward to the official release. Keep checking their web page or mine (www.kendocues.com) and hopefully some of us can help you as soon as Royce and his colleagues manage to get their final release of these products.

The cue line is a VERY limited run of cues (the reason for the price) but I'm not saying anything more until Royce have had his presentation later this week.

I'm sure they make a big impact in the cue arena as well :)

Hope it helped.

I'm with Newton, these guys have been great to work with. Royce still answers his own phone and is very helpful for the dealers and retail customers alike. I don't think they minded the pics because it gave some folks a sneak peek before Friday.

I get the impression there will be 5 cues (2 variations of the 100 series, 1 each of 200, 300, and 400 series). I assume future models will follow in each line (108-1, 108-2, 108-3, etc?)

I believe they only made 20 of each of the 4 cues for this run. They were originally going to take half to the show this weekend and sell them there. and the other half went out to dealers. We're hoping to receive ours tomorrow or Thursday and try to get a good look at these cues... I'll try to have them posted for sale before this weekend but I'm sure we'll run out quick as we only got one of each cue coming with this run. I hope the launch goes well, Royce and Jon have been great to work with.
