new here, so my apologies,
just aquired this table, it's in great condition, except for 1 dead rail, and 1 broken leather pocket.
I'm looking for history/details, maybe original price range, mfg date range.

I paid $400 to the original owner, so I can afford to refurbish it.

Is it worth the time and $$, or should I pass it on?

thanks for any info

We would have to diagnose the 1 dead rail. (1) Check that the rail bolts are tight for starters. (2) Determine if the cushion may have separated from the rail (possible reglue). (3) Dry rotted cushion (replace all 6).

Depending on what's broken on the pocket you can contact Hood Leather in Milwaukee to see if repairable. They do excellent work.

Have no idea what you mean by Heirloom Model:FP so a better description of the table (and some pics) would help someone comment on whether it's worth the time.

Is it an American Heirloom brand table? If so, those are/were the people who used to run Gandy until Gandy went under... If it is, then it's a nice table and worth fixing up.

Heirloom by Brunswick

I know that the cushion is just old, (not loose or separated), and the pocket has torn leather where it staples to one side of the rail cap.

This model (FP) was discontinued in 1982, replaced by the Heritage, and then the Ventura......all of which kept the same basic design and appearance.

I'm looking at $400 to $500 for new cushions and cloth installed, a little more if I replace with Super Speed rubber.

For basically a 30 yr old table the frame and finish are excellent, I'll try to attach a catalog photo so you can see what I'm going for.

Out the door, I'm looking at $800 - $1100 for a refurbished high end Brunswick.

Am I missing anything?, seems like a smart spend, just checking with ya'll.

Hood can replace the pocket web - probably won't cost much besides shipping. I'd check all the pockets in case more need some work.
Superspeeds are overrated. Regular K55's and some fresh cloth and looks like you'd have a nice table for a reasonable investment in the cushions and cloth.

You might be looking at even more to replace the rubber depending on what was on it before. If it had the Brunswick MONARCH SuperSpeed cushions, the modern SuperSpeed cushions aren't the same size. The old size doesn't exist any more, so you'll need some modifications done to the rails to accept modern rubber.

thanks for the tips on cushions

I didn't want to pay a kings ransom to the local brunswick dealer for "special" rubber unless it factored into any possible resale value.
So that's good news.
thanks

Finished project pics (Brunswick Heirloom)

this is as close to original as I could get....

final cost $1280.00 (purchase price, move,& install)
championship tour edition 3030 cloth (olive)
championship tour editon 66 rubber

after a 6 hour install, it looks and plays great, very fast,
as the tables 2nd owner, I'm very satisfied with this 30 yr old Brunswick!

cushions

it was my choice, more research might have prompted a better rubber, but from the reports I got, they are above average and cost effective for my needs.

Maybe you should have paid for the "special rubber" because I am pretty sure you got the wrong profile rubber for your table. Brunswicks should have K55 on them. I am not 100% sure on the home tables, but 99% sure all Brunswicks use k55. Diamond black cushions are a very good alternative to Brunswick Super Speed cushions, and a fraction of the cost.

if those fringes are gold i have 3? pockets that look the same that id be willing to let go cheap. i also have other pockets(full sets) that id help you out with saving some cash.

pm me if interested and i can get you pics of some

Hey bigpapa. Sorry to bring this post back to life, but I'm looking at one of these Brunswick Heirloom tables too.

One question: the base frame. I saw here https://brunswick.pastperfectonline.com/library/4444EA7E-4118-4E55-99BF-712822186511

That it says: "Base frame is assembled and leveled at the factory for maximum rigidity and flatness."

Does the base come apart ok for moving the table, or do you have to move the entire base frame as one piece??
It breaks down completely, into manageable pieces.

That's awesome Geoff, thanks so much!! And that was definitely for a Heirloom?

I found a great image online of the frame: https://dkbilliards.com/2011/05/nin...hion-rancho-cucamonga/#iLightbox[gallery-1]/2

That was moved by a professional pool table movers, and they moved the base in one piece including legs, but they had a nice open trailer to put it straight into so would have saved them a lot of time breaking it down and putting back together again. I don't have the trailer luxury :)

In the image it looks like the frame should break down ok. I assume the H section just pulls up out of there? Looks to be plywood bracket to support this section, but can't see any fixings, except for the centre of the H section.

And for the four outer main frame pieces, I'm thinking maybe those are just held in place by the bolts for the legs, OR there are screws/bolts and the heads are hidden by the two vertical small trim strips visible in the corner closest to you in the image? In fact, it kind of looks like those two little trim strips HAVE to be removed to be able to separate the corners, so maybe there is something hiding under them?

Any help very welcomed!!!
