Hello Az, current Transaction problem with Forum memeber Via

this is why-Iposted what I posted

Good morning Craig, I hope the day(the sunshine here warms you!) I just went deer hunting with my father. He had been flying(civil air patrol) USAF looking for a crashed plane. No ELT sounding, and hundreds of miles to search. Raining, snow on the horizon. even after the FFA did the investigation-somethings will never be know. The plane had 35 gallons of fuel-which caused a fire, the rain put it out. The plane was new,the pilot was inexperienced.the pilot was just married,he was drinking mountain Dew, The props were turning when he crashed. He was 3000 ft off course. There was an abandoned fire tower 1000ft away. He used his cell phone along the way. He crashed on the top of strawberry mountain,in an Indian Res. The tail was the biggest piece, wings folded-the rest burned -pilot included (god rest his soul) It was 4 miles off any road the forestry had to make a road, 8000 man hrs later fuel, volunteers. The point is( like the cue were the problems preexisting , so I kinda figure you never checked it,and the problems came like this from Varney. Then I am personally going to go out of the way-for the way you handled this situation so that others know etc. I think you should get whats advertised! heck you won right- Relax I think you let too many things get to you. Things always work out in the end- your a good guy ,but hyper-mark

Well, I am no different than anyone else and getting what is advertised is what doing business on this and forum is all about. Like I have said twice past when I bid in an auction where a Varney cue was offered the people running the auction refunded my money. At least Via, had the balls to see it through even after Varney contacted him and told him to refund my money.

This is why I do not undertsand why Via is now acting like this. Obviously he is a stand up guy at least partly, Like I said I do not think he is being dishonest, I suspect that had no idea there was a problem. Now Varney could help solve this also by making a statement about the problems I outlined but he isn't talking either. All I can say is that the cue was sold as New by Via, but then why was it not signed, did he say new because it had been refinished and if so who did the work? Hopefully sooner of later this information will come out. Because until it does this thread will not go away. Now if I need medication because of the way I am handling this situation you are a sad person.

Oh and please do not ever go out of the way for me for anything, I let very little get to me, but I never forget foolish comments made by others. Because sooner or later everyone who only talks with their fingers on a key board must confront their greatest fear which is face to face confrontation with those they taunt!!!!!!!

But, I am surprised that the has not answered this thread I sent him a link to it yesterday!

Lenny, I don't care who fixes it except for Kevin, because I doubt he would admit that there was a problem in the first place.

Another interesting fact about this cue is that it is not signed and dated by Varney.

You first stated that you believed that Kevin would not admit that there is a problem with the cue and thats why you wouldn't send it to him. In other words he would lie about it. Did you just call him a liar?

Then you stated that this cue isn't signed. Every Varney I have seen was signed with the year made. My Varney Jump/Break is totally black and he still signed it under the rubber bumper. Are you 100% sure its a Varney? Again I have never seen a Varney that didn't have a matching butt cap, jump joint, and joint.

Finally you wonder why Kevin hasn't responded to this thread. Did you PM Varney to see if in fact he made the cue in the first place? That would of been the first thing I would of done.

Again I'm really sorry for the bad deal you got with Via. I would be just as pissed off as you over the matter and I wouldn't bend over either. Its the principle of the whole thing and it has nothing to do with the money to repair the cue. I sincerely hope this issue can be resolved with Via. He's your problem not Varney.

First it is very obvious how I feel about Kevin Varney in general when it comes to his integrity so why would I send him the cue for repairs. Now, that is my opinion and I have every right to feel the way I do. I appreciate your comments however, I do not want this thread to become a PRAISE OR BASH Varney thread, so there is no need for you to defend Kevin, he has not been blamed for anything here. In addition I really do not need anyone to tell me who is at fault here Bob I myself have made that very clear from the beginning. So I sincerely hope you understand Kevin is safe and he really doesn't need you to defend him in this thread.

Please do not continue to add nothing to this thread except unwanted support for some one who is not being attacked. However, I will add this Kevin did Contact Via and asked him to refund my money and not let me bid in the auction. This has happened twice before and both times the sellers removed my bid's, now what do you think of that Bob does that validate or invalidate those auctions?

To the point Bob if you want to get involved here send Via a Pm. like others have that is the only support needed.:)

Raffles

Craig, here's my feeling on this coming from someone that isn't big on the raffle thing, and I agree that you are handling it very well.

I know other's that won cues via raffle (no pun intended) and had a few problems so I have talked about this issue with people in the past.
It's no different than buying a cue that has problems.
In reality it isn't just you that got a bad deal.
It's all of the members that entered the raffle.
You're just the guy that won.
Every person that paid for a spot paid him equally for that cue and to be fair he should refund the full raffle amount to you or pay to make it right by paying Kevin Varney directly to properly repair or replace the cue.
All issues aside with you and Kevin, this is business.

What's surprising is the lack of response because I expected this to be resolved quickly.

I appreciate your comments, and I also thought that this situation would be resolved quickly, but I am starting to think that maybe I had this guy all wrong!!!! Maybe he knew the cue was damaged from the begining and he thought he was dealing with a sucker or that maybe it would be ok because many thoiught I was going to destroy the cue anyway which was not my intent.

I do not know, but I will say this if there is any kind of AZ Billiards Black List Via needs to be on it!!

Thanks for your post

Bob,
I agree with you that the cue puctured in the raffle thread does look a little hinky for a Varney. I would have contacted Kevin to verify that it was his.
On the other hand, he has sold cues without signatures. I have a Varney j/b and player that are not signed anywhere. Kevin posted pictures of them on AZB when he sold them to the orginal owner about a year ago, so I know they are his cues.

Manwon, I sure hope you can get Via to take care of this for you. There's no excuse for this kind of crap. I cracked up when I read that he offered you your forty dollars back if you returned the cue. I have to wonder is he is as stupid as he seems to think others are.

I don't think he thought you were a sucker, and what you were going to do with the cue is your business.
He must not of been thinking at all, this is a weird one.
There's still time to step up, this isn't our first rodeo dealing with this stuff, and typically it works out.

I agree this is not the first time shit like this has happened, but you know I am glad that it was me that got stuck, because I don't need the cue, and I can do without the money. In the end the only person who is really getting screwed here is Via, his reputation is in the dumpster and all for around $40 or $50 dollars now that is really weird I just don't get it!!!!!

Thanks for your support Howard!!!

Actually Vias reputation is destroyed for about $360.00.That's what the auction brought in.
BTW there is a Varney on E-bay right now for sale with no signature.
G.L. with this mess.

Why would Kevin want someone who contunally BASHES him to bid on one of his cues?? I sure wouldn't. If the seller agrees with KV and removes your bid, so bi it. That is not for you to say.

And by the way, I have 3 KV cues that are not signed or dated.

Refund

OK just send me back the forty bucks and I'll return the cue and pay the shipping back to wherever...:withstupid:

Thanks very much for your opinion and input in this thread it is certainly helpful to know that some one as famous as you is on the case!!!! You know around 20 years ago I use sell Milk in your neighborhood and I am certain that I left a couple of Butt Nuggets behind. I know I should never have named you Spud, but that is no reason you should worship a man, I only wanted you to be tough not some ones Love Sponge, I mean where is your dignity!!!!!:)

Thanks for all the support throughout this thread, I have received a Pm from Via. It appears that everything was a misunderstanding and he will be glad to pay for the repair.

I suspect that it is time for this thread to die, unless things change.

Oh and by the way, thanks for the Red Rep Poolhustler it is always nice to hear from some one who has been impaled by a Varney!!!!!:wink:

Thanks again for everyones support!!!!:)

Glad to hear it is getting resolved and as far as I'm concerned he stepped up and thats good for him.
This is way way it usually ends up.

All is well

Manwon don't I get a (grade) for Helping you fix problem

Manwon posted Via will pay for the repairs nice !!did he apologize to Mr. Varney ? Will Manwon even say that late last night -I posted a few e-mails in the appropriate places so this matter could be resolved. Even though he told me not too! Manwon - As a bussiness owner you can refuse service to anyone-you know this so don't act surpised if someone doing there bussiness chooses to not let you participate. And now you tell the milkman story to another az member who just stated his opinion.
