Helmstetter model and value help

A guy from the pool hall just picked this up. Curious as to the model and a value. Two shafts and freshly refinished. I was thinking somewhere in the $450 ballpark.

Interesting. You figure a good refinish is $125.00, wrap $40.00 extra shaft $125.00.

Nice looking cue, its worth is what the person will sell it for and how much someone would give him for it.
 
IIRC, it had shafts already. I understand the zen of cue prices, but I'm trying to get a real world prIce. The guy that refinished the cue gave my buddy a value of $1400, which made me laugh. I don't think I've seen a helmstetter break $600.

I got $400 for my helmstetter and it was a VIP from the early 90s, great playing cue , wish I still had it.

Thats one of the better looking ones-it's a keeper.
 
Nice cue i have a guy in my poolroom has the same cue it hits great till the day .. Nice cue ...
