helmstetter value?

Need help with the value of a helmstetter. I tried selling this cue for a friend over a year ago. Ended up buying for myself. I still have the original bill of sale from 1990. I was told that all inlays are real ivory but I'm no expert. The signature is in gold flake. Any advise is appreciated.

Nice cue and the three shafts should boost the value. These cues played very well. I am no expert either but I don't believe that it is real ivory. I could only take a wild guess at the value.

Looks like Holly , My guess 2-300 . Helmstetter made some Very Nice cues , but the re-sale value sucks . It's not right , but that's the way it is . Jim

Bill of sale shows Ivory, although that is some grainy Ivory to my eyes.

Nice cue but probably worth more to keep and collect than sell.

It looks like micarta. Definitely not like any ivory I've seen.

I bet the ferrules are ivory or something.

It is a resin / plastic not Elephant Ivory. They used it in many of their cues.

$250 is my guess to what it would sell for. Due to the extra shafts. That's probably optimistic. List it on ebay and see what happens, but the design is dated and not terribly desirable.

Nice catch, the Ivory listing shows 2 quantity, along with the shafts. So Ivory ferrules not inlays.

The cue has a nice Shon / Joss vibe going.
