I have been asked by the Senor Citizens Center for input on buying a new set of pool balls for our Steepleton 8ft table. I have no idea what to recommend. Please help. More than likely, we will purchase them from Nick Varner in Owensboro Ky.

I would recommend Aramith Premiums. I have them on my table, picked em up for $150 and they're great.

This a good choice as are the Aramith 2 1/4 inch Crown Standard set.
Crown standards will not play as good as the top shelf balls but few will notice and good luck wearing them out.....under $90

I have a 100 bill in my billfold that some of the pool players put together but I hate to buy something is we will be sorry for later. After dealing with some folks trying to getting the table moved and recovered, I am quickly seeing that "cheaper is not always better" in the pool world. I think I am going to try to come up with another 50 bucks toward the purchase. Thanks for everyones input. It helped a bunch!

Aramith Premium

less than $150, shipped, from any number of sources.

Best compromise down from the $230 Super Pros...

I just scored a perfect set of Brunswick Centennials on eBay
for $40.00 shipped. The pictures were terrible and the ad said
"old pool balls", so I contacted the Seller who sent me some
clear pictures showing they were real Centennials. If you have
the time to research you can find quality balls at cheap prices.
