I want a new cue, break cue and case. My budget is 2100. I like a lot of flex and a solid hit with absolute silence. Please help with picking the three items and staying in budget..

nice cue

there is a samsara for sale in the wanted for sale forum for $500, they play really good and the price is great for this quality of cue, that would keep you well inside your budget.

don't think I can help with specifics because I don't know enough about cues to know which one will give you a solid hit and lots of flex ... just commenting to say that with that budget you should be able to get a nice set together. I got a Barnhart, a Pechauer break, a Lucasi Jump and a JB 3x6 case for several hundred under that budget. All but the Pechauer came from AZ members

Contact Brent Hartman (BHQ cues) for the cues and you will still have plenty left over for a case. Maybe talk to Dennis Swift about a case.

2100 is a good way to go for a great set up .
my list is
Kenny Murrell for shooting cue
Jimi baxter for a very good break cue ( and great price range )
John barton for a great custom case you can get your name on it ...
All that 2100 pm me i'll sent you pic's of the Murrells i have for sale ...

Where are you located? That might help the decision process. Or not.

I'd take 300 and put that aside for a break cue and case later. As your new cue is being made or delivered you can start shopping for your case and bc. Heck, an Instroke vinyl case will protect anytying you put in it and will cost you less than $150. You don't wanna spend too much money on those things, as they only depreciate quickly. Getting the nice cue first is more important than a fancy custom case.... what's the point of having a $750 case to carry around a $500 cue ? Upgrade to a fancy case in a few years, but get the cue first !!

Now you got 18 bills for a nice custom cue or high end production cue with a couple of shafts. Start looking at some of the custom cue sellers and see what they got in your range. You are gonna get a nice looking cue for that money. Google "custom pool cues" or at least "superior cues" to get an idea of the type of cue you like.......take a look at the cues in the wanted section on AZB and see what floats your boat, shoot with one of your buddies cues and see how you like their brand......good luck...

it is hard to get alot of flex and a solid hit. flex comes from flexibility solid comes from no flex. if you are in my area come by and play some of the best cues on the planet, not things that are hyped on the forum. see for your self and we will fit a cue to you!

For that kind of cash I would go for a custom matching set. $1800 for a matching playing cue and jump/break cue. I am not current on cue prices but I would look into Steve Lomax and Darrin Hill.

As for the case look into the JB/Jflowers case. Best value for $300 out there in my opinion.

Thanks for all the replies! I live near the de and md state line. A local player let me try his jacoby and I am strongly leaning that way.. Any comments will be appreciated..
