Where'd my stroke go?

Hey all, I dont know if anything similar has ever happened to you but I lent my case to a buddy and from what I can gather, he put the middle piece of his predator air into one of the shaft tubes and it must have fallen in. Then when he went to put his cues away he forgot it was in there and succeeded in jamming the predator air piece further into the case and now its stuck in there real good.
Now the fool is mad at me because he doesnt have a jump cue. Wtf?!
The case is a standard 2 x 4 tube case. Anyone have any ideas on how to extract this thing? This is driving me crazy!!

Thanks in advance,
Vic

Turn the case so that the opening is facing down, bang it down against your hand so that it doesn't fall on the floor. I stuck cues out all the time that way.

Good Luck.

sounds tricky

If it's really wedged in there tough, no amount of banging will get it out......

The only thing I can think of is that you need to use some kind of threaded rod which will screw into it and pull it out....as the prior poster said, "good luck"...

stuck

If the pin faces downward -

You could drill a small hole in the bottom of the case, and hit it with compressed air.

Be careful - don't want to shoot anyone with a Pred bullet......

If it's facing upward - well.. that's too easy....

Change case, change friend.
Call JB Case he'll hook u up.

(I'm joking buddy, hope u get it sorted soon. But I'm still recommending the "change friend" bit.... :) )

Lending

Just goes to show you, that you should never lend your Pool equipment to anyone. I lent a good soft case to a friend, he threads his cues together at a tournament and throws the case in a corner, and you guessed it, it was stolen before the tournament was over.

Joint down?

If the middle piece is facing down, you could take the case to your cue repair guy, and have him use a UniLoc pin in a dowel to reach into the case and connect to the stuck section. He should then be able to pull the stuck section out. If you don't have anyone nearby who has a UniLok pin, contact me, I have some on hand for repairs.

Tie the case lid out of the way of the case opening, turn it upside down and bang/drop it on a carpet or a folded towel a bit.

Tie a rope at least 100ft long to the bottom of the case (not the top), hook the other end to a rocket, preferrably ACME brand...

Thanks for the replies.
The first thing I tried was to smack the case but the thing wont budge.
And the cue piece is upside down so i would need to attach it to the butt to pull it out, but of course the butt is too thick to fit in the hole. I like the joint on a dowel idea but no one around here would have something like that.
I think Im due for a new case anyway so may just go that route...

Problem solved!

Thanks to daylate's dowel idea, I finally got it out. Instead of a joint on a dowel I just used crazy glue. Now I have a predator air piece stuck on a dowel. I think I'll just give it back to him as is and let him sort it out.
Thanks for the help!
