I am missing 3 of the inserts that go on the end of the rails that the corners bolt on to. Any idea where they can be purchased? Also have one rail bolt that is broken off in the rail. I tried to use a back out but the nut/plate in the rail is just spinning freely. Any suggestion on a fix for this.

Ace and Oechard supply have the inserts for the rail. For the floating nut drive a nail or run a screw next to the floting plate to secure it. If not you may have to lift up oin the rubber and replace the floating nut ansd make a larger one.

I just rebuilt a GC3 had the inserts striped from the last mecnanic and his impact gun. I also just bought a GC3 1st reconver and the inserts were coming out too.

best of luck

hey i have some gold crown 3 junk rails that i could screw a few of those fittings out if your interested in some, let me know how many and i will send them to you

these anchors come loose alot, a quick easy fix is to drill a hole from the side of them on the top side of the wood and drill through the insert. Then anchor with a small sheet rock screw. Don't go through the other side though and as I said use a small screw. Then they will hold forever unless a gorilla works on the table.

Here's a link to an excellent method to fix this. Scroll down to post on stafast inserts. You can PM me if you need the parts.

Thanks everyone for the advice. It is nice to be able to tap into so much experience. AZ is awesome. The table is in great shape other than the problems mentioned and one of the corners moldings both tabs/ears have broken off from over tightening.
Is this useable or will I need to replace it???????
I have not tried to put the table together yet.

YOu might be able to find someone with a heliarc to weld aluminum to create the ears again. If not i guess get creative drill some holes in the metal hold and clampit to the rail mark the were the new holes go and drill it. I never had to deal with a broke casting before. www.classicbilliards.net has some and another guy posted on here 3 yrs ago out of chicago or edison area having parts I a source for some rails well used I think come with casting I can check I was going to reproduce the rails At one time.

Thanks for the info. I have dealt with Ken at Classic in the past. I know he will have some. I like the weld idea might try that. If that is dead end for me I might just contact Ken. The table is in great shape and i don't really want to drill holes in the corner and rail.
