Back when I lived in Chicago, I got to see a number of old Rambow's, some of them didn't have a signature, IIRC. In any case, that's what came to mind when I saw your pics. I think his shafts also had the deep piloted part like the pics you posted. I think most of his joints were brass, but some were stainless.

Just a guess, though.

bump bump bump

bumping for more offers, I've gotten some strong offers. I think some people know who made it, but they don't want to tell me.

I think some people think they know who made it. To get closer to knowing and farther from thinking I think I would need to have the Q in hand or develop the ability to talk to the dead. :)

Till then I still think what I think....

Have a great day and wouldn't it be wonderfull if it's what I don't think it is?

For Sale, taking offers

At first it was not forsale, becuase I do not know who made it, and I'm still not positive. Now I am taking offers from AZer's. I will not post a price on this cue, becuase I don't know the maker and it is not signed. The butt is straight, one shaft is pretty bad warped and the other is slightly warped. One ferrule is ivory, the other is plastic. Shafts are 10.5mm and 10.7mm. The butt is in good shape and solid, the finish is fair, points feel a little swollen, but not too bad. Everything is original. PM with offers over $500.

Offers on the cue

No, What I'm saying is that I've now had offers from $500 to $700 from members on this forum. So, I'm not really interested in anything any less. Just giving fellow AZer's a place to start. Right now the potential makers are leaning towards Joss, Mcdaniel, Verl Horn, and possibly Rambow.

IMHO---Shaft inserts "taller" than HORN's I've seen

Jt wall thicker than RAMBOW's I've seen

under the bumper looks identical to the old McDaniel we have listed on our website (hex head bolt machined into the delrin).....

Richard Black's email

Mr. Black was nice enough to email me back about this cue. He said it would be hard to say without seeing the cue in person, but he did not think it was one of his cues.
