Help Identifying Old Brunswick

This old brunswick is located at our local American Legion. We are going to recover it and as long as I can remember when I use to live here the tables slate side pockets were "FILED best I can explain it" at an inward shape so when a ball rolls down the rail it sucks into the pocket like a golf put LOL. I suggested to the commander possibly getting a new center piece of slate from brunswick & fixing the old guy up right. So here we go.

I can't find any serial numbers or model name of the table anywhere on it. I am of course contacting brunswick with these pictures as well but wanted to post them here as I am sure if there is a place to get an ID it is AZ. I am guessing this table is made from maybe 60's from all I could find out from older locals that had been around the club that long but really NOT sure. It is a 9'.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know about the model of the table, but you are much older than from the 60's. Maybe 30's to 40's. I think you will be hard pressed to find a new piece of slate for that. BEST case would be finding a whole set of slate if you really want to replace it. That old antique slate is not that easy to come by anymore.

i'm not entirely convinced that its a brunswick...but it doesnt really matter anyway.

fyi - a pool table is like a sexy lady ;)
if you take pictures of her for the purpose of getting her identified, dont just take shots of "her face" ( the playing surface and rail tops)

we really need to see more of the legs and body :D
pun intended.

the slate issue may be easily fixable...have someone take a look first before giving up on it.

Mr. Bond someone else said that may not be a Brunswick in the AZ main forum section too. I was pretty sure the missing tag shape indented on the rail was Brunswicks BUT I guess I had better take a closer look as it for sure wouldn't be the 1st time I have been wrong at something and likely not the last lol. I also need to do some more digging on someone who knows where they got it from. It is OLD for sure reverend so if we can fix it to satisfactory playability we are definatly going to. Crazy thing with the side cut pockets in the slate, just never seen anything like it or WHY it would been done.

I appreciate the responses guys.

Slate issue on antique

You are correct in that replacing one pc of slate for this table is gonna be tough. Having a full set remanufactured is gonna be pricey. I have solutions for you however and would like to help. Contact me direct at 215-622-8899 or through my website. Talk shortly.

Thank you!!!

I would say you are correct by a quick search OTLB. THANX. I figured someone on here would know the answer. Green rep your way. I haven't seen many searches regarding pool that can't be answered on AZ. Gotta love the access to information on the web.

Here is a link to one on ebay in the same idea of condition, actually the one here is all set up & being used so this one likely better other then the wood is been through the washer & back. Looked solid enough with a little TLC to last a lifetime anyway in my opinion.

Side Pocket Slate Cut:
Now apparently from the picture I attached here from the ebay portfolio the slate on theirs is cut the same on the side pockets. It's all declothed so you can actually get a good look at what I meant. When you shoot a ball down the rail or a even medium speed pot shot near the sides it sucks the ball in like a golf put LOL. The slate is slanted downward. Image is below.

TableTek any suggestions are very much appreciated. By all means send me a pvt with any thoughts and we can get in contact.

Or anyone else as well with ideas. I'll be curious what the table mechanics have to say as I have just never seen this and I have played in a lot of places on a lot of tables over the years. I'm not a mechanic but just never seen anything like this on a "slate" bed table.
