Help me decide what to do with $5000

My answer is neither. Unless you are rich and have money to waste.

You don't need to spend 5k on a cue to get a great playing cue.

The second option actually concerns me a little bit. I am going to assume that you love your wife the way she is or you would never have married her. That would make the breast augmentation pointless. Besides fake breasts are not all they're cracked up to be, as has already been mentioned.

Here is what I would do

I would have a cue made to my specs - Hercek, Searing, etc.
I would have a matching break/jump cue made.
I would have a matching case made by Justis, Murnak.

Go for the breast implants but get them on yourself if you like them so much. Hate those things!:grin:

I completely agree. What do you think your children would get more out of down the road? Tons of fun days and nights of learning a great game they can enjoy with friends or a pool cue that for that kinda money shouldn't even be played with. I mean hey theres many many cues I'd like for that kinda money but on the other hand if you buy a table you could practice enough to improve to the point where you hustle and win that kinda money from what you or your children learned from having a table at home. My opinion:

Get the cue, after buying her the boobs you'll need to spend more to hire a private detective to confirm she is cheating on you. I've seen it countless times where the women want to show them off and love the extra attention.

Dam, women get to do things men just can't do. As an example you may have noticed the red highlight above. Well I just had a penal implant/enlargement. I was showing it off at the beach so I could get some attention (just like the ladies) and I got arrested.:sorry: :D :eek: :groucho: :rotflmao1:

KEEP THE MONEY IN THE 401K; DON'T FORGET THE TAXES

I agree with Chris almost. Seriously, if you can't easily afford $5K out of your pocket don't buy the cue or boobs.

Yanking money out of a 401K even as a loan would be a big opportunity loss (reduced lifestyle $ at retirement). Over 20 years $5K earning 7% per year would double twice, in this case $5K doubled = 10K. The 10K doubled again =$20K . I'm a big titty fan but saving for your own retirement and kids education should be priority #1 and #2.

IMO saving for college/kids should be done in a 529 College Savings Plan.
 
First off this a guy who truely loves the game and likes to buy and trade nice cues. As far as having a bad night and losing with the cue, thats not going to happen as Noel doesnt gamble to the best of my knowledge. He never should have said anything about the 401K and just asked what would you buy with $5000. My opinion would be a Gina and a couple others but I dont want to get bashed and will talk to him if he wants the input. Just surprising to see someone willing to spend this kind of money on a cue and just enjoy the game who doesnt have bags of money just lying around. Good luck in what you decide to do.

I have mixed feelings. A lot of people are thrashing you for wanting to take $ out of your 401K, but I think we get a little carried away with retirement plans, 401K, etc etc in this country. Keep in mind that not only will the 401K withhold taxes from the withdrawal, but the 5000 will count as 'earned income' for that year, possibly putting you in a different tax bracket. Ok, enough of the boring stuff....

I read a reply earlier that was so intelligent. Get your wife a $4500 procedure, then buy a nice custom $500 sneaky pete.
 
i really think you should raffle it off man. sell 550 spots for 10 dollars each. you make some coint and someone else gets 5k
 
SIMPLE, take the dimes and buy the "right" cue.

Can you dig how much it'll be worth when you go out to pasture?
