~ Help me grow up. . . Looking to buy my first custom cue ~

valley forge

i know a guy that is going to that valley forge thing that's coming up.
he says there is going to be several cue makers and vendors that might have a decent custom cue at a more than fair discount. (Under $300)
i trust the guy but i won't have much input at all into what cue he picks out.
idk... what do you think?

anyone here going to that valley forge thing?

can i pls see some pictures of custom cues you will be displaying/selling there in the $200 - 400 range

Thanks people

Hi all,
I am ready to take that scary  first step into pool adulthood...
...to venture out beyond the land of mass production to find my first custom cue.

Many of you can probably relate to, and remember how special (but also agonizing)
that moment was when you decided to get your very first custom cue.
This is just my first step on what i hope will be a long journey here on azbilliards
So i'm hoping that people here can help me out and get me started off right!
Looking for good quality and value... so any offers or suggestions are welcome.
budget- 400 (but will take a hammer to miss piggy for the right cue)

Update: Okay, it seems like i have more than enough info to get me off to a good start at least.
I think it will take me about a week or so to research all the amazing cues and cue makers i've come across...
SO FAR... i haven't decided on whether to have a cue made custom for me or to choose a custom cue that's ready to go.

I'll be sure to keep everyone updated of my progress and hopefully - when i post my avatar -
...it will be of my very first custom cue!

Thanks to all who helped me and hope to chat again soon, -Marlo

i did it just how you're doing it.i bought my fist custom cue right here on az!

Contact Joe Baker, he is here at AZB as jbcustomcues! Guys like Joe, BCM cues (Bryan Mordt),BHQ (Brent Hartman), and Leon Sly, make jam up cues for the money! Also if it's your first custom, make sure you take the time, and have the patience, to maximize this experience! Don't rush, it will be worth the wait!

Looks like you are on your way to a great start here. Like others have said take your time and look around, deals can be had. I am also new here and found a local used custom cue for a great deal. The cue is from a local maker and it's great as my first personal pool cue.

Great to hear that you are taking your time in looking, just make sure to take a look in this section a few times a day cause great deals come quick and are taken even quicker.

Good luck on your search.

James
