Hi

Help!

I want to sell this case as an Ann Gore case, because I think it is. I have showed pics of the case to my "case guy" and he asked me if it was marked Gore anywhere, which it isn't, at least that I can find. Can this case be a Gore without her marks? Can this case be a Gore? It super well constructed, everything fits like a glove and the leather seems very high quality to me. Plus there's that 30 years with a Gus inside to consider.

Help?!

Thanks

Kevin

Inside the top of the lid, it should black hard material. This case was made by schon cues in the 80's.Had many of these cases and then schon cues quit making them.Good as if equal to a Gore.Rich

It should be black hard material if its which case?

This one has foam padding in the top.

By "equal to" a Gore, you can't mean in selling price.

Thanks

Kevin,

If you have a Fellini on-hand, double check the dimensions of the tubes on each case. I'm pretty sure that Ann Gore's were the same dimensions as a Fellini and don't know if I've ever seen any of hers without her mark and/or certainly a tag on the liner. Hers also generally had a butterfly type latch that came down instead of the diary lock. If this case is slightly fatter/wider, then it's likely that it's indeed a Schon case.

Thanks. Ron had me do the same thing, and this case is a little larger than my Fellini. Thanks so much. I love this place. Sounds like a Schon. As much as I would prefer it to be a Gore, I'd rather know now, rather than after I sold it.

Thanks again

Kevin

case

Kevin,I mean the schon case, has the black like foam in the lid, sorry.Ann gores cases were flat lid and flat bottom, with a flip up latch like a newer made george case today. Her flip up latch was a much better one . Hope I helped, wish I kept the gore cases, they were real nice . My opinion only. Rich

You would of loved this place about $250 better if the case turned out to be a Gore...

Yup, but you can't ask for opinions and then reject them because you preferred another answer. You do that and you are that donkey character.

Like the guy said to Dirty Harry, "I gots to know".

It's a great case. Sure, some of the others have "bigger" name recognition. But these cases are great. Flat out, it's a classic.

There are a number of them that were made by different people over the years, very similar, but in general all great cases. The Schons are in fact pretty uncommon these days. Probably easier to find a nice Fellini actually.

Not an Ann Gore

know it all's description of an Ann Gore case is correct. This is definitely not an Ann Gore case.

In addition to know it all's description, my Ann Gore case, which is in the color of brown, has a dark brown edging on each end. I have a friend with the identical case and the same edging. I am not close to a camera and cannot send pics.

Mine needs to have the insert reinstalled. Does anybody repair this type of case? I've posted before, and have gotten some advice to do it my self, but have not found someone who will do the work.

Looks like a nice case.
