Here are some pictures (I hope), of a cue i've had since the late 70's. I stopped playing a few years after I got it and just have started up again. I was told it was a Palmer or Adam at the time, but I've always wondered, I new even less about cues then than I do now. Anyway thanks in advance for any help, bad news included.

The rings, joint style, pearl dots, say Rich to me. Also looks like the butt sleeve may have been re-done. Looks earlier than late '70s, to me.

Thanks for all the input. I added a better photo of the joint, in case that helps any.

The cue may be older than mid 70's, in thinking out the time line, I got it about 1974 or so from a guy that played alot around Seattle at the time, from Smokey Joe's down through the 211 and Pioneer Square. I always called him "flat hat Bob". He would give me "lessons" for five bucks a game, he got behind one night and was out of dough so he offered the stick and some kind of spot to get his money back. I was lucky for once and ended up with the stick and his money.

As I said, I quit playing for a long time, but always wondered if it was actually a decent stick, or if he was just trying to get the best of me as usual.

Thanks again,
Mark

After seeing the close-up of the joint, I'm inclined to think Jay may be right.

Just now looked at the Blue Book, 2nd edition. The Rich Level 2 5-G looks similar. I don't remember Rich cues having that pointed pin, though. Looks like it could be either one, from what I see of Adam and Rich in the book. The maker's mark could easily have rubbed off on a cue that old.

Mark, I suspect that the cue is also a Rich Cue, however, it could also be an Old National Cue.
