Help with 50's Brunswick-Balke-Collender -

New collector here... trying to more closely identify this latest arrival to my very new hobby. Like everyone else here, I was just minding my own business buying cues, until one day I realized, I had a collection.

My "Decades Collection" starts in 1950, allots me a collection 7 cues. I was certain a 1950's collector's item would be near last to find its way to me. Imagine my surprise, & excitement when I discovered this cue a few weeks later...(photos bottom)

For now, I'm dating this cue as 1950, my "Birthday Cue" It's still quite playable and I intend to play with it only on my birthday, for as long as I can have birthdays.

This is early 1940s, probably no later than 42.

Nice cue, I want it!
 
and thanks a lot guys! I was at the Brunswick archive, but could not fathom finding anything in 1950 yet alone a 1940's vintage in such great shape!
Needed a tip, a bumper... and some tlc . Jim L. picked out a bumper from some 50 cues he was disassembling for parts/scraping that day, "close enough until we find a real one" And then I played with it for a good hour.

Maybe my handle should be "MoreCuesThanBrainz"

The circular weight stamp indicates this was part of a commercial set sold, most likely to a bowling alley or a pool hall. I agree, 1940's.
