Help with cue identification and information regarding a vintage Viking

I am looking at this vintage Viking cue and it has raised some questions for me. I looked it up in the value book and found two cues for which it looks similar two, one being from 1983 and the other one a little older. However, the diamond inlays are slightly crooked and not very sharp. One of the diamond inlays, seems to be the victim of a repair job with glue apparent (see picture). Despite the crooked diamonds, the finish seems to be in pretty good shape and it is a handsome cue. It appears to be hand-made and custom-like and it makes me think that the cue is much older that 1983. One unique feature of the cue is that it has three points, not the standard four points, so it differs from the cues described in the value book which are described as having four points. Also interesting is the ferrule looks like it is made of ivory as well. I am hoping to tap the AZ knowledge base. Does anyone have any info on this cue? Year made? Value? History?

Help with cue ID & info. re: vintage Viking cue

Viking used the 3 point WICO blanks around 1980 +/- and this cue appears that someone added the inlaided M.O.P. in the points and butt. (that may be why one of them is crooked!) Great old cue!

In my 1981 Viking catalog your cue is listed as a model B130. Came with nylon wrap. Retail at that time was $130.00. Picture looks identical to your cue shown. Todays value, I have no clue.

I used to own that model many years ago and yes early 80s is correct. I don't recall any of the Vikings coming with an ivory ferrule and I think most were made of a material called Implex. As far as value I don't think you'd be looking at more than maybe $200 to the right person.

You may also wish to PM Jayman. He is pretty much a jedi master when it comes to vintage Viking and Adam cues.
