Help with info on my Gandy Big G

I just got a Gandy Big G table installed in my garage. But, it appears to be a bit of an odd-ball Big G with features that aren't normally found on them. I'm hoping this may help date the table (no clue when it was made) and wondering if it's some custom one off ordered from Gandy long ago...

The basics, it's a 9' Gandy Big G, black, with the 8.75" side curtains and drop pockets.

Now the oddities on the table....
* It has adjustable feet levelers. Every Big G I've seen before has fixed feet
* The legs have an arc in the middle... Every one I've seen before is straight across on the bottom of the legs
* It has two leg stretchers, once again, every Big G I've seen before only has one
* There are 4 rail bolts per rail instead of the normal 3 (like that from factory, not modified)

If anyone has seen a Gandy with these features let me know. I've been led to believe so far it's pretty rare...

Here's a picture of the legs, I'll try to get a better shot later of the leg levelers if anyone would like to see.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brian

Last I remember Gandy shut down and reopend as American Custom tables in Atlanta.
Give them a call at 770-775-6900 and they may be able to answer your question.

I dropped them an email earlier today, we'll see if anyone there can and/or will help.

Thanks,

There's a pool hall in Fremont ca has 25 of them with the arc but not the levelers. The owner told me they were Gandy pro's but i never say or read anything about them other then some have solid pedestal legs and other ar arched like yours.

Gandy had a employee named Billy Spivey he did build a few custom Gandy's.Billy has passed away,RIP.I did get to see one of his tables.BCA trade show Orlando Fl.The table had a 4 bolt rail pattern,1.25 inch slate.Don't remember it having leg levelers.Sorry only set up about 40 tables prior to the show. Here's three names of commercial tables built.Gandy Big G" Sportsman,Huster. The Hustler is the only one built with two pedestal legs arched with a arched stretcher. The blinds also had a slight tilt in from the top.

I vaguely remember a Gandy Super G at one of the trade shows. Did not find much on search but found a listing of one being used in a tourn.

And the stretchers on this table aren't arched, they look exactly like the Big G stretchers, except there are two of them...

Just heard back from Chris Speed at American Custom and it is a Big G LTD (a limited edition that they produced for only 2 years). If I get any more info back from him such as the years they made them I'll update the thread for anyone else who may run across this table.

Thanks,
Brian

Typical...

My 10x5 Gandy Snooker has all these characteristics as well.. Very nice features I may add. Cause the traditional 9's and 8's are a nightmare to overhaul.. At least I don't like doing them anymore...

Just as an FYI the table is from the mid-90's. He couldn't remember the exact years.

Still got your Gandy? I have the same table and you are correct; it is a Gandy Big G LTD. The Limited Edition is a somewhat rare table with some very nice features. Mine is being stored right now but I've made room to set it up and will probably do so next week after my 8' table gets outta here tomorrow.
