Help with table I.D. possibly Brunswick Gold Crown?

It is a Gold Crown I/II... The apron hangers, score counters, and aluminum castings are the telling signs.

The rails may likely have been painted gloss black. You can see a scratch in the foot rail. The Brunswick badge on the head rail may have been missing, so whomever restored the table may have filled the cavity when they were painted.... Just my guess, as it's hard to tell from these photos.

I've seen painted formica rails on a Gold Crown. If done right, they turn out very nice, and last a long time (though not nearly as durable as standard formica).

The aprons aren't installed correctly on this one, so I'm a bit leery of the rest of the work (cushions, facings, cloth install, etc). However, as a Gold Crown, it should have decent bones. And, at least from these photos, the paint/finish work looks decent. Though, I am not a fan of that custom triangle holder. If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate.
It could be an Olio too, Geoff. Even if it is a Gold Crown, that's a MAJOR project to get it right. To your point, if they did that to it cosmetically, I can't image what they did under the hood. Like I said, it would be hard pass for me. There are much better starting points out there.

If it were an Olio, it wouldn't have the Brunswick logo on the ball box. And, the score counters are definitely Brunswick, NOT the cheap Olio version.

The only thing that would scare me away from this one would be whether or not the slates are good (not broken). I'm not a fan of Brunstone at all, so I usually pay much less for Brunstone tables. Everything else can be fixed/repaired. And most people looking to buy Gold Crowns are already planning to have the rail work done.

For the OP, I am quite confident that this is in fact a Gold Crown. I'm just not certain whether it is a I or a II. However, with what appears to be 'stained' pedestals, I'm going to guess that it's a II. Again, always hard to tell from limited photos, but I'm pretty confident in my assessment.

If you can get the table for less than $600-700, it's a deal. Anything more, and I would have to give it a pretty close look.

i tend to think its a GC but not just ONE GC. Looks like a pile of GC parts made into one table. So many were made this would be very easy to do.
That triangle hanger off to the side is weird, I have never seen a GC with a hanger like that, its usually just the chrome wire below the ball box. In the pic it looks like the hanger is molded to the skirt, it probably just screws on though so I suppose one could add it to anything.

Yea they have it listed for $700 and I thought it seemed like a decent price if a gold crown. Worried though ahats under the hood after seeing the outside.

Didn't want to take a trip and tell them ill take it and then it turns out not to be a gold crown so just wanted everyone's opinion. Thanks I appreciate everyone's info. Still thinking it over. I'll see if I could get more pics.
