I just got this cue, and it has a strange flaw in the finish of it (never seen anything like it before).
The finish appears to be flaking off (if that is the best way to describe it).
I think that is just looks horrible, and would really like to get it repaired.
Is it possible to repair this myself (being a person that has never done cue repair before, and has no equipment)?
I was told that I could just buy some kind of spray (I forget what kind) at the hardware store, and fix the issue, but I imagine that the finish needs to be sanded off before spraying (maybe a new finish?) on to the cue.
By the way, I do not have a clue what I am talking about.
I emailed Tony Sauer (who lives here in Louisville) about just refinishing the bottom half of the cue, but he has not replied back to me yet (and I think he is my only local option for cue finish repair in Louisville).
Thanks for any suggestions, or help on repairing the cue myself (if it would not be too complicated without a lathe or other cue repair stuff I might need).
