Help!!!!!

I purchased a new break cue and after 2 days it snapped in half under the joint how can I prove that it is a defect and not my fault( I have never broken a cue)so this is crazy to me.
 
If you bought it new from an authorized OB dealer just call them. Royce from OB is on AZB all the time as well. And, as was stated earlier, pictures are priceless!

I will post pictures tomorrow. I just want to say that I'm not trying to blast OB I really loved the way it hit and shit happens but I have no local person to help with this problem so I posted it.

To answer someones question I purchased the cue from Anthony Beeler from here on AZ and when it arrived it was as advertised in new condition not a scratch on it.

Well im no cuemaker but i don't see any glue remains there where i think there should be a ton of glue. Looks bare to me no glue at all? Improper installation of the joint therefore joint became loose and cracked. And im not even a pro cuemaker lol!

Yes, call the seller very politely and feel him out about making good. If it appears he is not going to stand behind it, I hope you used your credit card and thus can dispute the payment because of this defective item. Good Luck

I just wanted to let everyone here on AZ know that I appreciate all the assistance with my issue. I contacted Royce at OB cues and he was extremely helpful and I am very impressed with their style of customer service. Even though I had a problem with my break cue I will soon be purchasing a new shaft for my playing cue and it will be an OB. I believe OB cues has a great product and if the way they have handled my situation is any indication they have an excellent focus on customer service. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Yep, Royce is a pretty stand-up guy. No BS and is always willing to work with you.
 
Wow I can't believe the pics I seen , reminds me of when I snapped my Predator Bk2 about a year an a half ago snapped it at the joint as well now mine barely had any glue in the joint kidda saddens me that some companys don't really take a good look at the products they make . Good thing you got taken care of .

I agree. Royce is a stand up guy. Unless he has good reason to believe that abuse was a factor, I think he'll stand behind it. I'm sure you'd have to send it to him for evaluation instead of just pictures, because pictures can be made to be deceptive. There could be a big dent on the under side of the cue that would indicate it was hit over a table or something, but as I said Royce is very quality conscience and a good guy to deal with. If he made the cue, I think he'll do right by you.
 
OB Cues

I know I started this thread a long time ago but I really want to thank OB cues publicly since I started a thread about my problem. Royce responded to my email quickly and offered to fix the cue no questions asked. Being the flake I am I waited 8 months to send the broken butt in instead of reading me the riot act they sent me a new butt within a few days. With all the threads about bad customer service I just wanted to let you guys know OB cues are good to go.:thumbup:
 
the way you were treated by ob cues is the rule for them, not the exception. they ALWAYS seem to have excellent customer service.
