Hello all AZ members, I would like to start a fund / donation team. This team would be a group of trusted AZ members. Who would work together. Receive, hold & give away cues, cases..... To juniors , students, and people of need. Any and everyone who wants to be a part of this would be great. I see and have also been one of those people of need / help. As for me I had no problem, but I do see others who have gave and there not sure if it was given away or just a con job... This team would stop all of that. And ensure that people from here don't get coned.. As of now this is an idea in the works. I'm asking for help to make this happen, even have a sticky, a address and paypal to make this work. Any and all ideas are welcomed. Let's make this happen. All the best Dom :thumbup:

I spoke with Dom this morning and I am supporting his idea 100%.All the details aren't "ironed out" yet,but I offer my services to receive/deliver any funds or equipment to kids that need help with pool equipment.We have to find a way to create a Paypal address for cash donations.I will be calling Paypal this morning.I live in Boca Raton, Florida midway between West Palm Beach to the north and Miami to the south.Also I volunteer to take pics and or videos of the people receiving the equipment.We are hoping that when other members actually see this happening,it will make them feel more confident/comfortable about donating.This will help to keep youngsters off the streets and away from the gang lifestyle,and that benefits every one.More ideas and suggestions will be helpful and appreciated.Any one that wants to talk on the phone can Call me,954.200.0070,or you can call Dom,718.902.2190.Let's help these kids get into a great game,and stay off the "streets".

Nice idea.

How would you make it where people could not get scammed? Are AZ'ers hand delivering the items? I am guessing that is why people are adding their location.

Yes,Ross,and thanks for the nice comment.
I can cover south Florida,and I will gladly hand deliver items,along with taking pics and or videos of the recipients.

I think your hearts are in the right spot but I think you all are making a mistake.

IMO

I think the same way about giving to charities. If you feel the need to give, give it to local folks in local rooms. It will do a lot more coming from someone that they will see and know than someone from out of town.

This will eliminate the rip-offs that seem common.

I often get called lots of names, and that is okay. But if you have this incredible need to give to wayward pool players, do it to local players.

It makes sense to eliminate shipping, and other stuff too.

The Items donated should be collected and then auctioned off, the money collected will sponsor a junior player to the US open or similar tourney.
