Hennessee vs Hillbilly broken cue last night

It was the same in Shreveport, accusations of sharking while the other one was shooting. Gotta love them pinoys. Hell you could probably bust out a portable lathe, set it up on the end rail, and proceed to put a new tip on while your opponent was down on the shot, and nobody would say a word.

Its a bit of a shame. I play there sometimes but it is really crowded and not set up to host a tournie like this. I live in SA and won't go by to watch this but I know I wouldn't be able to see a thing. Its really too small for this type event and the tables are way too close to each other. On the bright note though is that slomoholic is rocking the stream. Some hiccups at first because of internet but he's getting together and I appreciate it. Much rather sit at home and watch then try to deal with even getting in the place.

...

Good tournament but I won't go back to this venue as it's not set up to host a high quality tournament like this. No room for spectators or players.

Thanks for the compliment!

We have the live stream on a 50" HDTV above the jukebox, so that helps. If it weren't for one little technical issue, we'd have the show on multiple TVs and the projectors, all throughout the room. Next time! :)

PS, up next on the live stream:

Two matches covered at once:
Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant vs Ricardo Nixon
And
CJ Wiley vs Daniel Coffman

Looks like 2 ladies to me playing right now rather than the above matches you listed.

I think Charlie plays slow. I remember the finals at the Carolinas Open one year between Charlie and Johnny Archer. It went until the wee hours of the morning, like 2 or 3 a.m., if memory serves me right.

Ralf Souquet and Kid Delicious also are notorious slow players.

Shot clocks should be in force, I guess, when one encounters this.

The funny thing about Danny Basavich, though, is that I've seen him play slow and fast, and he could play just as good fast as he could slow. :)

I think Bob Jewit advocates a chess clock. I think that might be the way too go...

What, did something happen in the video? Once I noticed how close those tables are sandwiched together, I couldn't focus on anything else. The dude next door was literally hanging his ass over the rail when he shot! Never seen anything like that before.
