My condolences to HERBS family.
I first met HERB in the late 70's/early 80's and it seems like we were always friends. He was prolly around 54 when he passed. High school phenom who played (fullback) for the BEAR at BAMA in his youth. His personality was incongrous to his physical strength. He was smitten by the pool bug at about the time I met him and although he took the game up relatively late he became, as a by product of a prodigious work ethic, an above average player by the early 90's. He was ranked 52nd on the men's tour (back then you got points for entering) for a while. HERB had an opportunity to work with STEVE TIPTON during the formative period of the ladies tour and he attacked the challange with the same energy he devoted to other endeavers which interested him.
He was twitterpatted upon laying eyes on Ms. FISHER.
HERBIE, you'll be missed....
