I'm being picky, but no-sho, an admission against interest is an exception to the hearsay rule... but really, what Deno did or didn't do to JB has nothing to do with the IPT's failure to pay players.... unless, he's using IPT funds to woo women!

The point is probably moot because most issues of this kind are "settled"

What bothers me ...

is that most women can take care of themselves when they are confronted with unwanted advances from a man, usually without any outside help.
The fact that JB is married and the fact of DA position and representation for the IPT at the tournament that this happened is alarming at the very least, let alone the fact that other women were involved with the complaint also.

Most women would not have taken this action unless they were left with no other option. Evidently DA is a man that doesn't DO what he ADVOCATES, and that is disturbing on many levels.
 
Jesus... i can not believe all the stuff i have read about Deno. I met the guy and had a lot of fun with him without any thing strange happening ( but mayve that's because i'm to old for him;) ). I would have never imagined him as being what is told over here. Eydie... thanxs for the most incredible update about the ipt thing. It is most appreciated. But people, untill Deno is charged by a judge for doing what he supposably did, we should not hang him. You know. I worked for vice and i can tell you a report at a police station tells nothing about someone being guilty. He is accused and it isn't proven. So don't get me wrong: i'm not saying it is not true either.

For anyone that cares to wade through it all - RSB rec.sport.billiards has an extensive list of heated exchanges between Mr. Andrews and many others concerning various topics in our little world.

I believe that Joe Van Buren (Classic Cues) and Deno have had more than a few exchanges that were far from pleasant to use a conservative description. Mostly centered around their differing opinions about collectible cues, I think.

Go to google groups and you can find a lot of Deno Andrews history.

If you are going to say something, please lets be accurate. The debate about cues was not the issue, not in my eyes anyways. The slinging lies, and accusations that he couldn't back up... were.

Which is why I feel if he gets bent over in jail by some guy named Tiny.. well lets just say, I hope he ain't tiny. :)

I wasn't trying to be accurate or inaccurate, just to point anyone who cared to go towards the volume of conflict between Mr. Andrews and many others, yourself included. While I haven't read all of it and don't intend to I can certainly accept that you have a deep despise for Mr. Andrews. No offense was meant if I inadvertently mischaracterized the genesis of your feelings toward him. Please accept my apologies.

My sentiments exactly!...this discussion regarding Deno's alleged impropriety (sp?) is in dangereous waters... I'm not saying he did or did'nt because I really don't know...that is for a jury to decide. If he did, shame on him and I hope he pays dearly for his actions.
What we do know is that players have not gotten paid by the IPT for their participation in the Reno event and that KT has dangled the ever present "the check will be in the mail soon" angle for way too long.
It is more than evident that the current regime is inept and needs to be replaced if by some miracle the IPT were to survive...
If the players were scammed I hope that KT and Deno pay dearly for their actions.
