heres a video of a young Earl Strickland

Nice. I have a video of Earl and Efren in Japan around 1988 or 1989. They were so young.
MULLY

On Buddy Hall's and Earl Strickland's Wikipedia pages, both claim this title.

Buddy beat Allen Hopkins for the title in 1982, but neither of them even played in the finals this year.

Was there two tournaments or something?

Wow! Awesome old school video got to see a classic earl jump shot to boot! The miz was handling it well what a true champ.

That table has a bad roll. Miz's lag rolled off like a full ball.

And the table color is so bad for tv.

Nice to see it though.

Thanks for posting this Robleyf7. I love watching old footage of the pro's.

That was a blast to watch. The crowd had probably never seen so many amazing shots in one set from one player and they could not contain themselves. "Lil Earl" That is an odd nick name although I always thought he was way taller watching him on tv and then when I took a lesson from him him he was skinny and I felt like I towered over him and I'm only six foot. Johnny Archer was way smaller than I figured as well.
