Hey Keith what did You do to become good at pool?

I'm 13 and I play alright. My dad taught me how to play he is good. You might have played him before I'll ask him. Are there any kind of drills you would do or would you just rack em up and play with your friends?

Thank you for the question, Youngpoolplayer!

I never used to practice with my friends. I'd always practice by myself which allowed me to work on my strokes and techniques. It's hard for me to get anything out of it when I'm playing friends.

When starting out, the most important thing is to make sure you're stances are correct, with your "feels" and stroke. If you practice good habits from the start, it will take your game to the next level.

Good luck to you, and keep on shooting. Have fun when you're playing pool. I know I sure do! ;)

What's up?

What's up Keither? I heard you were hitting 'em good again. Must be a good influence in your life.
I had a poolroom at Hollywood Park for a few years, but I lost my lease and had to close up in December. It was a good spot with some decent action.
Now I mostly play poker and veg.

Toupee, glad to hear from you! :D I'll bet you that Hollywood spot was a good pool room, and I'm sure you were in heaven with the poker there!

I was watching TV the other day and they were running through commercials, and then I saw your face. So I made sure I watched that episode. I'll betcha you were glad when Dr. Phil made that 90-day commitment. I hope you worked out everything with your sister. I saw Heather on TV, and I hope she's doing well, too. She was always nice to me. By the way, you haven't changed a bit. You look good!

As far as the influence goes, I have been doing better. I have a girlfriend that treats me well, and life is good. Things ain't as fast here as they are over there in L.A., but you know how I am. I try to make things happen everywhere I go. ;)

Jay, you've always been a really good friend to me, and it's nice to see you posting. Let me know about any tournaments coming up. It would be great to hook up soon and cut up again! :)

Your friend,

Keith
