Question? HighEndCues has a BEAUTIFUL Bender listed at $7500. This has to be the nicest cue I think I've ever seen! Then later in the post he said he had PM's asking about length and weight. My question is, how many of you out there are actually playing on a regular basis with a $5k to $10k, or higher cue? If this Bender was mine it would never ever see chalk. I'm just pleased as punch to be playing with my $500 Omen Sneaky. Just wondering.

I play daily with a $20,000 cue might get 22K if I found the right buyer, 17,000 on a fire sale. I have about 1800 hours play time on it. I dont play tournaments just gamble. I dont think of the price of a cue when i'm playing, i dont ding them up or scratch them, so it dosent matter, If my cue was $100,000 or $500 It would all be the same to me, i'm just interested in playing and learning.
I dont have a cue that expensive and like you am happy with my several hundred dollar cue. But if I did have a cue that expensive I would play with it but it would never leave my hand. Might even superglue it to myself so I dont lose it. HAHAH
I play in leagues, which happen to be in bars. My most expensive cue is $2400 and I do not take that cue to any bar, I only take that cue to a pool hall. The most expensive cue that I've taken to a bar was one I paid ~$1000 for.
Tascarella
I saw a Tascarella on sale here about a year ago, Ebony Hoppe. It had perfect playing specs for me, so I bought it. Not sure how high-dollar it is but it cost me about $3K. I have been playing with it ever since, and most people in my pool hall are not tuned into cues, so I don't think about it. It just feels right in my hands.

The question about lenght and weight is a vadid one whether someone was going to play with it or not. Someone buying an investment quality cue must make sure their investment is good for the next potential cutomer also. Buying a cue that is 60'' or 25oz may very well hurt the resale in the future.
I have played many years with $10k+ cues. I'm a player and appreciate a cue that hit's like a cannon. Many of the High End Collectors are more collectors then serious players. This means many of the cues get taking on test drives instead of long distance races.
This also means I'm a little nervous to chalk up many of my MONSTERS because I'm afraid I might like them too much, and then I have a $30-$40k player
Every cuemaker that has made a cue for me knows that the playablity is a must. The work of ART has to be able to run out as well..Best,

How do you manage to not ding them? I must have 30 dings in my butt, yet can't really remember doing any. They just appear.
That's me too. As careful as I am I still manage to get dings. I think it's just part of the game. It would just piss me off to ding up a $10k cue. What do you think, about $500 deduction in resale per ding?
I know a guy with an original Szam and a Southwest who plays with both regularly in poolhalls.
Cues are meant to be played with. It's kind of like how depressing it is when you see a trailer queen classic car at a car show, just sitting there forlornly wishing it was allowed to do what it was made for. Don't be 'that' guy.

I play with a pretty high in cue very often. Leagues and pool room. I do keep a close eye on it and like someone else said it will go to the bathroom with me if no friends around. Here is a pic of it. I designed and had it made by Jacoby and love the way it feels. Best cue I have ever played with. Pictures don't do it justice

Honestly I would be afraid to take a 20K Cue out of its Case, and hitting a ball with it would make me Sweat COLD.
Don't think I will ever own a 5K, 10K, or 20K Cue for playing. My current One Pocket Player Cue is a Titlist Conversion, and was no where the cost with some of the high dollar Titlist Conversion from Well Know Cuemakers.
My Titlist Conversion on any given day will play better in the hands of some Pro Level Player, but it does the job for me when I am stroking well.

My daily player is the Dishaw in my avatar... 60" w/Predator 314-2 shafts...$5,500.00 Retail. Dan says play with it thats what it's built for. You want it to be perfect we'll refinish it every 2 or 3 years.
I can't lie... I love the look some of the league and casual players get on their faces when they realize the cue cost more than the car they are driving. Another buddy of mine just said "Why?" I looked at him and said "How much did you pay for that Mustang you drive?" He smiled and said "OK I get it now,"
