next weekend if anyone is interested, sept. 25-26

how it works:

Everyone has 48 hours to get their best run on the days of the contest.
Play in your own time zone. The clock on your wall is the right time for you.
You may continue past midnight Sunday as long as you get started within the 48 hours.
If you get something good tell us about it. Keep trying if you want, only your best run counts.
Post up your video's. If you can't get it done by the end of the contest, no problem, try and get it done Monday or Tuesday.
Runs can start from the breakshot or after a miss, either way is ok.

I guess the hrc is dead. I played anyway and managed a 49 after being away from my pooltable about 4 weeks. The pool stick feels like a broom handle after that long to me.

I didn't realize you had this going again. I did a 23 in a match yesterday.

Got a 26 http://vimeo.com/15309592 and a 35 http://vimeo.com/15304409 today. When I uploaded the 35, I did not notice that it started with 14 and a miss, then a re-rack and 31 and a 10 minute delay and then finished it with the other 4 for a 35.

Welcome to my world. The world of the 20 ball runner.

No i didnt, i had promissed to go in the 1st one but it didnt happen because of the room that i am playing in right now has no spot for a camera. once my room opens back up, it will be back to business !

No Pool

Spent just about the whole day Saturday in the Emergency Room with the wife. She is still ill. Taking care of her today and following up with doctors tomorrow.
No pool for awhile.

All the best for your wife buddy-and remember:
the run with your wife is by far longer^^

take care,

mike: sorry to hear. i hope it's not a permanent illness or anything life threatening. will there be a prolonged hospital stay?

?How long does it take to lose one's stroke?
In my case just about 1 month. I moved 2700 miles away from my pooltable last month. Then I moved back. My life is kind of a mess right now but I believe this is a step in the right direction.
anyway my poolstick still feels like a broomhandle, nothing happening right now.
our first time 2 time winner:
Bill M.. well done Bill.
I've been thinking due to what seemed like lack of interest in the tourny once a month is to often. If we had this say quarterly there might be a better tournout.

?How long does it take to regain one's stroke? I'll let you know.

in the last six months, i've only played a handful of times. last week it came back a little. i ran 54 then played some 9ball with a hack and sunk 5 on the first break then the 9ball on the next. i was hot n cold though so i wouldn't say that i was back in stroke but it felt ok. i think that when we are in-stroke we see the entire shot and even the the entire table. when we are just getting back into stroke after a hiatus, we tend to concentrate on making the shot only which is counter productive. force yourself to concentrate on cue position and your stroke will naturally come back.

I agree. today I was just trying to pocket the balls. If it takes that much mental energy to make the shot there isn't much left upstairs to actually play the game. the shots need to be automatic, the only real question is where to leave the cueball.
