If someone needs that much help at the table the extra help probably wont do them much good. For someone to really help out they have to be able to walk around the table to get the "lay of the land", how many times has the table looked good when you approach it but when you walk around and look you find problems that you didnt realize that you had?? A ball that looked like it had a pocket wont pass another ball and those kinds of things.

What you're saying makes a lot of sense however it's simply not real life. If I'm watching a live stream of a match and 2 guys are 600 level players. Relatively evenly matched and I can easily swing the match by just telling one guy in his earpiece to play off one side or the other of the 14 ball for example. It;s not hard at all to keep one guy from making catastrophic errors. Like easy as pie actually. NO NO don't move that ball, before he does something stupid.

But sure, keep telling yourself it's not real.

I think that stuff might work for 500 and under players but make little difference the higher the FR is. Not getting good position and simply missing the pocket is what seems to stop most runs.

In one pocket, a wise player can be an enormous difference.

Yes, playing 9 ball advice would rarely make much difference at all. Not arguing that. But people play more games than just 9 ball.
