Highest break speed?

I've noticed most of them seem to get a lot of pace with very little movement. I don't know if they can just snap their arm that much faster than me or if there's something subtle I'm missing. My best is about 18 and I almost gave myself a hernia. I haven't clocked my speed in a while but I seem to be doing well for me at maybe 16 mph. I should probably switch to kilometers per hour.
The fingers can add more velocity than some realize. My baseball catching and pitching demonstrate the power in the fingers with an 85 mph fast ball to a 65 mph change up. The only difference was the fingers.

So who are the real Break Demons?

Dechaine
Busty,
Hillbilly
Wade Crane
Nevel
DeLuna
David Howard could crush them as well

Also a guy named Mike Mitchell from Modesto Ca I’d bet on against anyone ever that he could crush them harder. Window is open. If you know Mike say so here-if ya know, ya know what I’m talking about.šŸ’ŖšŸ’Ŗ

A way to check how much speed can be added by ā€œhingingā€ the wrist/fingers is to try lagging the CB without moving the rest of your arm (only move the wrist/fingers). You’ll be surprised how little speed they actually add.

I don't think of hinging the wrist. I think of opening, well Barry Stark calls it unfurrel of the fingers.
Here's part 1 on the grip. He finds the grip important enough to have at least 4 parts.
For me it's still a coordinated effort but the closing of the grip is my favorite choice for power in normal play.
Heh heh, if I stood on the mound and threw a ball using only my fingers, it might make it 10 feet.
The power break is good for show, the accurate break will get the dough. Unless it's a break speed contest.šŸ¤·šŸ˜‰

I don't care so much about the measured speed, because I do not trust it to be accurate. But if you watch some clips of Bustamante, giving his absolute all on a break, you'll see the cueball getting kicked straight back while spinning forward, almost to the top rail, before the topspin curves it forward again. That's a lot of power.
