Highest break without English?

Just want to add my compliments to Boro Nut. As a PhD in the physical sciences (Hence the DR. in drsnooker) I truly appreciates his efforts, even though I usually don't bother. I can in fact calculate the gas-liquid equilibria, the atomic absorption spectra and even the feed forward coupling constants of atmospheric chemistry unlike all "those people"
But let me finish this threadcr@p with two quotes: A wise man who argues with a fool gets no rest.

And the motto of all "those people" which was beautifully articulated by dentist and former (thank goodness) chairman of the board of education of this backward state I live in, Don McLeroy: "I disagree with these experts. Somebody’s gotta stand up to experts "
As an educator I really don't care about arguments over the curriculum. In the average urban high school if you get through a day without a fight, a sexual assault or someone smoking pot in the bathroom you have had a good day. School officials should worry about the important stuff first, then the petty political details. As far as Texas goes you should try living in Detroit or New Orleans then Texas City won't look so bad. Its all relative my friend.

I feel your pain mnorwood. It's sad that teachers spends only a fraction of their time teaching, and the rest baby sitting. And yes it could be worse than Texas, but it could and should also be a whole lot better (Europe). My point, however, was that the curriculum should be decided by experts, people with degrees in education and people from the trenches. The teachers that do this day after day and know what works and what doesn't.
Not by people who think they know what is best and have their own agenda to indoctrinate those kids.

I can see myself living in Norway. Everyone thinks America should have a system like Europe. There's one major flaw in that plan. For a system like that to work you have to people who are willing to contribute to the health of the country without the expectation of major wealth. There are way too many people in America who want everything for nothing. To compound the problem they want everything for nothing and they engage in destructive behavior.

Sorry for sending a thread about zero english breaks to this. This will be my last post on the topic. Sorry again.

I once saw an 80+ break made without touching a cushion, no cushion more than likely no english just a series of stun, draw, stop and run through shots. I believe it was Dennis Taylor if my memory serves me.
It's tough to do as usually around the black you are using touches of side to maintain good position. The spin will give you better rebound than a stun or draw, without the spin you may have to hit the ball too hard.
