Chris there are cue makers out in the world and just builders. I chalk you up there as a true artist with an amazing talent to build some beautiful custom cues of true art. Great job can't wait to see it in person at the expo.
Apache and Navajo are both native tribes.I wish I could take all the credit and although the design was my idea, my son "Israel" who now wants to be called by his first name Justin pulled off the inlay work. I came up with the design, picked the woods, built the butt and did the veneered point work, but he took over from there and did the inlay work. It was like pulling teeth to get him to put the ring work in the handle. He felt it would take away from the beautiful Thuya burl, but I felt it would bring it all together. So I finally won out and he finished the inlay work under duress. Sometimes I think our shop reminds me more of American Chopper than a cue shop.
This is the second cue in the Aztec Scepter series and I felt I should continue with the ring work design in the handle, although we changed the number of inlays to match the butt sleeve. Many have said our other Aztec Scepter more reminds them of South West indian tribes design. Does anyone have a better suggestion for a design origin name than Aztec Scepter? I thought of South West Scepter originally on our other one, but my son came up with Aztec Scepter and it seemed to fit. But the materials used were more SW USA with moose and turquoise. What native tribes were from the New Mexico/Arizona area?

Here is a cue I plan to take to Expo.
It is a Hightower Burlwood/Birdseye Cue with highly figured elongated birdseye forearm with Madrone burl points and butt sleeve and thuya burl handle. All white is Ivory with Abalone and silver accents.

Name it "Israels' Aztec Scepter" and he should use his name.
A work of art Chris and Israel
I bet you were a real trouble maker when you were younger.![]()
Kudos to a special father and son team.
Great cue Chris, I bet that you feel a fathers pride in a son who has followed in your footsteps and has succeeded in a big way.
Your cues have a great individual style that I can recognize in a NY second. I wish I was going to SbE to see them but it is impossible for me this year.
