Anyone tried or own a High Tower Cue? I've heard a little about them and am interested in trying one out and maybe buying one if I like what I hear and feel. If anyone has any info let me know.

I own and play with a Hightower cue.
I love the way my cue feels. The balance is awesome.
It has a very solid hit. Looks great, too.
The joint protectors are pretty cool.

I like Hightower's old logo.

I have a friend that has a Webb cue, and Webb cues have a very good custom cue feel (great balance). I let him try out my Hightower cue a little, and he looked at me and said Wow about ten times. He said it feels like an 18 ounce cue, but it is actually heavier.

I have another friend that has on old Custom Joss. I shot with it a little, and it felt like 17 ounces. I was in almost disbelief when he told me it was 21 ounces. To me, that is what a custom cue feels like. It feels light, but plays like a heavy cue.

My cue can be seen on Hightower's website.

Wow. Thanks for that. It was almost more than I could ask for! I'm really interested in getting on in the future. Something draws me to them and I'm not sure what. Maybe it's the looks, plus the custom close and detailed hand done craftsmanship. Maybe it's also what you just said. One day, I'll have enough money... one day.

tried alot of em

I have to say I have tried alot of cues since I have been back playing and
Chris's cues are my favorite ( I have two favorites ) I am buying another
Hightower . They are as stated well balanced and have a great feel to them
Also I really believe the wood he uses for the shafts is some of the best I
have seen as well as the materials and finish work .:D

I bought this cue because it was on sale. So, I didn't give any specs or custom details for the cue. It was already built.

And I have to say, it's damn near perfect for me.

When considering purchasing a custom cue...and it sounds like you've got some time to save up some cashola....use the mean time to think about the things that are most important to you for your dream cue.

There are lot of things to consider, but it's mostly dependant on your preference.

If you are taller than normal, you may want a longer cue.
If you tend to opt for jump shots as opposed to masse shots when dealing with hooked situations, then you would want a lighter cue with a hard tip (jump).
Some people like wrapless cues (like me), and some do not.
Some people like forward weighted or back-end weighted cues.

Seriously, you could spend a lot of time deciding what you want in a cue.

great cue

i have played with and owned a few hightower cues and i believe they are a great cue at a great value.

I appreciate all the kind words. I hope your cues give you many years of satisfaction and enjoyment.

For anyone who does not know Chris Hightower, he is a very nice guy, and a HELL of a cuemaker. His cues truly are truly custom masterpieces. I have been fortunate to play with a few, and they play great. His cues also have a very distinctive look. And his lathes and lathe instructions are second to none. I would highly recommend(and have several times in the past, with no complaints from friends) both his cues, and lathes. Matt

I played with one of his sneaky petes and it drove like a sports car. Great cues.

Wow. Thanks for all the reviews! All good things said! I'm gonna look into it more and I'm thinking that I really do want to save up for one of these!

I do 5 month layaways with 1/5th down and 1/5th per month if you see something you want me to hold for you, before I go to the Expo.
