I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this conversion. Please PM me with your experience.

I know Chris would answer any and all questions and has saved me from making unwise or unnecessary purchases in the past but I would really like to get an end users perspective after they have had the opportunity to use it.

I take it that you are referring to Chris's milling attachment?
I bought it when I got my Deluxe. I haven't got myself to the point where I am going to use it just yet but its well built and theres nothing about it that I can see
that it won't do the job properly when the time comes.
I believe Qbilder also has one and uses it. He seems to like it.
 
Anyone? If you have experience with this mod I really need your input.

For threading wood tenons, it's the nuts. It's accurate & easy to use. He makes gears to cut any thread number you want. I use mine for threading butt sleeve tenons & such. Does a great job on ferrule tenons, too, but I already have a dedicated machine for that. Cuts as clean & perfect of threads on wood as you can do on any machine. It's not idiot proof, but it is easy.
 
Thanks for the replies. This will be my major purchase for this year as far as tooling, equipment and upgrades go and, unlike other higher dollar purchases in the past, this must pretty much start earning its keep right out of the box. Of course, it would be nice if it were idiot proof as well.
