His and Her Custom Cues

My brother has asked his long time girlfriend to marry him.

He plans on getting married in about 9 months.

Both he and his fiance shoot pool 3-4 nights a week and are on 2 league teams.

I was thinking about getting them a custom set of pool cues.

Does anyone have any pictures of a his/her set so I can get some ideas?

PS.. I am not interested in seeing any Mottey pairs or something that is going to cost two arms a leg and a spleen.

i dont have any pics but you should call paul at pfd cues 1 860 295 8500. he will make you a nice set,

Thats a thoughtful wedding present. After getting multiple food processors, toasters, etc, this would be a breathe of fresh air and you wouldn't have to worry about them getting used.

For something that is excellent quality and a fair price, I would seriously PM Chuck Starkey (Desi) on AZ and inquire.

I would think that there are so many makers on AZ that could give you what you want for a fair price, its just that Chuck is one that I would consider.

I share my break cue with my wife so they also might consider having a matching breaker at some point too.

The key is who can make them in seven months. And that only gives you a couple months buffer.

Thats true to but a nice card stating that a pair of matching playing cues are being made for them is just as nice.

Trust me, that will make them just as excited and they will have something to look forward to.

There is more than one way to skin a mouse. I just got 5 of the little fookers in my house in the last couple of days.
I wonder what a mouse wrap would feel like. I should use them for something so their little lives won't be in vain.

I don't know if these would qualify as "boy and girl" but, I had Mark Smith do a matching pair. Great cues, great price, great players and Mark is a wonderful guy to work with.

Call Trevor Donahue at CC...tell him what you're trying to do and what you want to spend. He'll hook you up with the nicest pair of his/her cues for the best price.

You can always look here and have the cues engraved with a matching design, www.cuesight.com they have done some wild designs http://www.cuesight.com/pool-cue-engraving.html

for matching cases we can hook you up - from $100 to spleen. :-)

Keith built a his and her's set for his brother like a year ago. Matching sneaky's. If you PM me I can shoot you a price, and can let you pick the woods for a brand new set.

Thanks for the responses and PMs that I received. Some folks have sent some sets ready made but I am instead interested in having something made. My brother currently shoots with a Bill Webb which has a southwest flair. He absolutely loves his cue and he may have an issue switching. His fiancé shoots with a Lucasi though so she won't have an issue changing. One thought is to take pictures of his cue and have one made for her using the same design but different veneer colors.

For folks familiar with Bill Webb's work, what are some similar makers? I would ask Bill directly but he is no longer making cues.

Jerry Rauenzahn makes absolutely beautiful butterfy spliced cues. Not sure if it is close enough to what you are looking for from Webb's work.. Good luck with your search, hope to see some pics next year of the finished products..

many cue makers can do this

might i suggest, cues with " his " and " hers " on them some place, kinda like newly weds towels marked his and hers
