Hitler Post I apologize

I am truely sorry if my Hitler picture and post in the recent thread about Kristy Carter, offended anyone.

The thread was one of the worst threads (IMO) in the 8 years I've been associated with AZ Billiards.

Today I read in that 'closed' thread that it offended a few posters and that they took time to publically post about their 'sensitivity' to the picture.

Please forgive my not taking my time to think that I maybe offending someone with a picture of Hitler. How insensitve of me!

I've requested that the post be removed. It is now up to the moderator to remove the post. I cannot edit it, as the thread is closed.

Sorry again, Please Forgive,

You and I have been around the internet forum/bulletin board block for many years, Tom. In the "old days," we know that the use of the word "Hitler" meant that the thread was to cease. Over. Done. No more. Maybe some of the posters didn't realize that.

IMO, the use of the term never seemed appropriate then, but it was accepted. It's no longer accepted. I think we can deal with that. Let's figure out a new way/term. Of course, whatever that term will be, it's going to be inappropriate at some point in the future.

How about a turkey with the "done" tab popping out? Or a fork stuck in it?

I've got a suggestion for a thread stopper. How about simply, "It's Tom!" :)

BTW, best of the season and a Happy New Year Fred! Have you been in contact with PoolBum yet?

I find that offensive (someone will, so it might as well be put upfront as offensive). But I still like it. Someone go and find the real name of this Perdue thingy.

Fred <~~~ envoking Perdue thingy

Back at you Rudy. Yup, PoolBum and I got in contacted. He was suppose to go the Derby City Classic this year, but work called him away. So, that means both of you need to make it for next year.

For sure. It's George! :)

!!!!!!!!!!!

My true name is George Thomas Elvira an I resent
the use of either one. I find this totally insensitive to me and others like myself and very confusing.

C'mon, Pinnochio. I know you've been around the pool world. Why do you wanna mess with a fellow Cowboys fan like that?

Tap, tap, tap. Very well said.
I understand (i think) why you posted the picture, and I too agree that the thread became useless and unproductive. But to invoke the greatest symbol of hate in our modern history, well, there had to be a better way.

Not to mention that it was third such instance of anti-semitism in the past month on a pool forum.

But, ultimately, your true character has appeared through both your apology and more importantly your AWARENESS that ones actions, however benign the intentions might have been, can be damaging.

Thank you for reavaluating those actions.

regards

I have a couple It's George cues and cases. I love hearing the "It's George" saying. Makes me smile and chuckle.

It's good to me ;)
