Hohmann says it's over?

I just noticed that the latest news on the BilliardsDigest.com home page has a bunch of new stuff on the IPT, taken presumably from interviews with players at the WPC. Mr. Hohmann certainly seems well informed on the issues, and acknowledges that, having actually been paid for his big win, he has less to lose than others but that he is still very unhappy about the situation:

"In my opinion, it’s over,” said Thorsten Hohmann, winner of the $350,000 top prize at the IPT’s North American 8-Ball Open event in July.

Hohmann pointed to repeated inconsistencies and broken promises from the IPT, especially related to the delay in prize payouts from the World Open 8-Ball Championships in early September. “I’m the one who can leave with a smile, but it’s just not right what [Trudeau] has done – all the lies,” Hohmann said.

Well, he admitts that he is in a better position than most, but at least he speaks his mind and the obvious. It is getting louder.
 
Congratulations to Thorsten for his incredibly team-spirited comments. He, of all people...given what he has been PAID...might have been inclined to prostitute himself by being supportive of a pack of lies and liars.

There is probably no one who works any harder at developing his skills as a pool player and athlete than Thorsten and his efforts are CLEARLY working.

If he can and does keep it up he is going to become one of the great champions of all time as far as the sport of pool is concerned and now, it appears that he has championship characteristics off the pool table as well.
